We were there for 4 nights over Christmas so they made sure we had a microwave and refrigerator. Very roomy a place to sit outside. We used the hot tub every day.

The city centre is good with everything you could need, good cafes, restaurants and bars. Whangarei is a short drive to some beautiful beaches. Its a nice place to break your journey if you are travelling long distances.

Our favorite place was the marina boardwalk with its restaurants and cafes. This is where we spent most of our time. We made sure we booked a hotel within walking distance. It saves a lot of time driving around looking for car parks. We did drive out to look at the Whangarei water falls which were quite spectacular.

I was brought up in Whangarei and know the place inside-out. It's a lovely place with many places to explore and experience. Underrated but beautiful, with friendly locals. There are plenty of places to sit back and relax. Don't forget to check out the town basin, with its wonderful cafe, glass blowing and clock museum.

I wasn't there long enough and I intend coming back for a decent look around. Loved the town basin, the hundertwasser centre, the rolling ball clock (so clever), the loop walk along the river, the cafes and the friendly people. I was very impressed and of course the great weather!

The appliances and furnishings were very nice. The couch and armchairs were very comfy, and the bed was good quality. A good smart tv that you could use and cast to easily. The kitchen appliances were nice, and the bathroom was very good. It seemed new, and the shower pressure was great. The place was cheap and a good, central location. The decor was quirky, which I liked. Appreciated the free wifi and guide books.
I like the place it’s very clean and no problem of car parking the people on the reception desk are friendly
If I travel again to Whangārei definitely I will stay again this hotel.
Wifi range was awesome unlike most hotels or motels it was fast and never lagging. Close walking distance to where we wanted to go. The lovely aunty we met who worked behind the bar.
