everything went well but this is my personal opinion is hotel mattress should be on slat/firm base it will help with mattress being soft after many times of use.

Very pretty coastal town.
Very pretty coastal town. Easy to walk around shops along the waterfront. A variety of cafe, bar and restaurant. Plenty to do hot pools about 20 min away at Awakiri. Lovely beaches and friendly helpful people.
We had meals at the RSA and the Irish pub which both enjoyed.
There is not much between Te Puke and Whakatane except lovely views for part of the journey.
I’ve been there times and looking forward to going again.

I like Whakatane area it has some great shop's, but when were in the Bay of Plenty we spend most of our time in beautiful Matata and Kawerau visiting with whanau. The beaches in Matata are truly beautiful, Matata is another great place to visit it's 20mins out of Whakatane great for fishing.

Whakatane is great for walkers with plenty of paths and toilets. Its family friendly and very clean. Pedestrian crossings seem to be missing but the locals were great and stopped at all the courtesy stops. We found some great places to eat and notes the town had more than everything you would need. Impressive little place for a short stay.

Location was perfect. Lovely little cafe on site. Staff lovely and friendly. Loved our room. Other family stayed at hotel as well. Fun comparing rooms. Only drawback, sons room, bottom floor, at base of stairs, no view, was disappointing. I suggested we swap rooms, but he said no, they aready settled in.
The hotel staff super welcoming and friendly.
Room was comfy, lots of room, kitchen facilities all provided, shower facilities provided an overall great stay.
Extra bedding available and air con available would definitely stay again 💯💯
The room was great (it was facing away from the main street). It was clean as were the bathrooms, the lounge and the kitchen. My bed was clean and comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and they provided off-street parking
