This motel had very comfortable beds, and the rooms are away from the road so very quiet. We had a shaded parking space. There was a compact but functional kitchen.

We stayed close to Xmas and there was an excellent supermarket with Xmas type food. Very easy to get around Westport, people helped us when we're unsure of directions and historical facts, re Denniston, mining.

Kind of cute town with some amazing Deco/Moderne style buildings on Palmerston St. Honestly we didn't have enough time to really immerse ourselves in it but would recommend West Coast Pie Co for lunch. Some of the best pies I've ever had, but warning from the owners it's what's left more or less after 10 am.

There is surprisingly a lot more to do than you think.
There is surprisingly a lot more to do than you think. We were in Westport for a quick visit in April as we had not been there before. We were travelling on the Greymouth and further south so didn’t stay very long. We did decide to go back, and have just spent three days there. The weather was a hinderance, it rained for the three days we were there. We did manage to go the Cape Foulwind, saw the lighthouse etc. Too wet for a visit to the beach. We had a lucky break on the Thursday and went to Denniston. The rain stayed away for a couple of hours. What a fantastic place to explore.
We like Westport and will go back, just have to be prepared for rain and lots of it

Westport is a lovely funky little town with a museum and great spots to eat and meander about. If you're going to Westport - be sure to take in Cape Foul Wind - beautiful walkways and as true a rough rugged West Coast experience as you will get.

Great small community everyone very friendly.
Great small community everyone very friendly. Great choice of eateries and pubs. Excellent beach, walks and cycle tracks. Great central spot on the West Coach with Punakiki, Reefton and Greymouth not far away. Recommend the Tavern at Charleston excellent service and great lunch.

why do Westport puts the horse races, the dog show, and the golf tournament. on the same weekend and zero accommodations, for a 1000 people
and locate people are complaining shops and business are closing down.

This was an excellent appartment. 2 mimute walk to the main street of Westport. Super clean and super comfortable with everything supplied that you might need. Very comfortable beds, and a comfortable and cosy living room with a well-equipped kitchen. Will definitely stay here again if in Westport.
I had a vehicle breakdown in Westport and just needed a bed for the night. The facilities were clean and more than adequate for what I needed. Check in was quick and friendly. The manager was extremely helpful in getting my vehicle stored and collected.
Fantastic breakfast! There is fresh bread baked every morning and home made yogurt.
Soaking in the hot tub after the surf was so relaxing.
It's a little hideaway just off Westport. Definitely recommend this place!
The service was very good and the hotel was within easy walking distance to most facilities. I would be happy to recommend this property to fellow travellers.
