Waitangi is stunning and needs a full day. A trip on the water to Hole in the Rock is worthwhile. Plenty of good food and drink in Paihia. And the heritage train at Opua is also an interesting experience

Paihia is a lovely destination, We only had 2 1/2 days, and it wasn't enough, plenty of places we would have liked to visit and try the food at. Recommend a longer stay and breath in the sunshine!

Paihia is a beautiful little town which is ideally located for trips up to Cape Reinga and Keri Keri or activities such as sea fishing and other water sports It's only a short ferry ride away (both passenger and car) to Russell which is definitely worth a visit. It's super close to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds which is a must do.

This is a small but perfectly formed resort, impeccably clean, very comfortable bed and room. The bathroom has a massive spa bath, the hotel is right across the road from the beach, we could go to sleep hearing waves crashing and nothing else. The spa pool deck is lovely, and we had a really nice meal in the restaurant. Staff were friendly and capable. A short walk only to Paihia town. Really good value for what we paid. We are totally intending to return.
This apartment complex is in a great location. Spacious room with all facilities and spotlessly clean. Close to the shops and right across the road from the wharf. Catch the ferry across to Russell for a meal at the Duke of Marlborough hotel. We will be sure to make this our preferred accommodation any time we visit the Bay of Islands.
The hotel is in central Paihia and a quick stroll to the main town area and the ferry. The room (including the bathroom) was spacious and the bed and pillows very comfortable.
