I loved the layout of Dunedin - it was an easy place to navigate. The architecture is stunning and the people are very warm and friendly.
The Octagon was a wonderful venue for refreshments and it provided a central hub where friends and family can congregate; I spent a few hours just enjoying the food and wine and people watching.
The Museum of Sport was very interesting and I recommend the Twilight train journey as a way of seeing the Otago coastline in comfort.
Anyone wanting to experience something of the wildlife away from the usual hordes would be well advised to book with Clearwater Wildlife Tours.
Dunedin is well worth a visit.

We only had time to visit the Albatross/penguin information centre and we had a wander through the city the next morning. Would love to return to Dunedin.

Dunedin is a good vibe city, with the young students and the senior bohemians which make for an interesting mix of people. They are so friendly. It's a modern city surrounded by old world charm. A great collection of shops in the city and mouth watering eateries. Visit the Botanical Gardens, the museums and Otago Peninsular for the wildlife. They are all first class all the way and won't disappoint. They also have buses running regularly to get you around the city.

aevery aspect of this hotel is professional, friendly, clean, we could not fault it! We arrived with a lot of luggage as we have a 4 month old baby, we were instantly followed to the room by your receptionist who carried half of our bags while my husband parked the car, the rooms are massive and modern and well equipped. The food from your restaurant is always delicious and of an amazing standard. This is the second time we have stayed here and we love it. I am a travel agent and this will always be my go to hotel in Dunedin. Love it!!!
This is the second stay here for us. Both stays have been awesome. The motel apartments are absolutely huge and super comfortable. Motel staff members are super nice people. Even get some milk on arrival, newspapers daily and new towels and rubbish taken from the room each day. The motel apartments are definitely dated but that goes with the Dunedin experience and the apartments have character and the comfort factor. Extremely great value for money as very affordably priced compared to other accommodation.
The room was very comfortable.
I chose the hotel because of its position opposite St Clair beach.
I found the staff to be very friendly and professional. This includes the cleaning staff.
It is a good central location for exploring Dunedin.
Lots of good coffee nearby - especially the pink caravan coffee.
Hands down best hotel we have stayed in while in Dunedin and we are here a lot for hospital visits. Clean, modern, quiet, comfortable beds, friendly owners/staff, good parking, handy to everything, warm…. We couldn’t fault anything.
