Ebb-Dunedin, hotel in Dunedin

Set in Dunedin, 1 km from Taieri Gorge Railway, Ebb-Dunedin offers accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a garden and a terrace.

Very modern, spacious rooms, friendly staff, comfortable beds, feels high end. Even a regular room is as big as suites in many other hotels and it’s not crammed full with accessories you don’t need but take up space like desks etc.

I loved the layout of Dunedin - it was an easy place to navigate. The architecture is stunning and the people are very warm and friendly. The Octagon was a wonderful venue for refreshments and it provided a central hub where friends and family can congregate; I spent a few hours just enjoying the food and wine and people watching. The Museum of Sport was very interesting and I recommend the Twilight train journey as a way of seeing the Otago coastline in comfort. Anyone wanting to experience something of the wildlife away from the usual hordes would be well advised to book with Clearwater Wildlife Tours. Dunedin is well worth a visit.

The heritage buildings add character to the city. Hearty breakfast at The Good Oil in George Street. Recommend visiting O.P.E.R.A. to see the conservation of Yellow-Eyed and Blue-Eyed penguins in their natural environment.

Dunedin is a walk through the past with amazing buildings and history. There are lots of great activities and of course the natural beauty is free! The food is pretty much amazing everywhere you go, and the local produce and knowledge of food enhances the experience.

Beautiful city. Pity we had bad weather! We only had time to visit the Albatross/penguin information centre and we had a wander through the city the next morning. Would love to return to Dunedin.

Dunedin is a good vibe city, with the young students and the senior bohemians which make for an interesting mix of people. They are so friendly. It's a modern city surrounded by old world charm. A great collection of shops in the city and mouth watering eateries. Visit the Botanical Gardens, the museums and Otago Peninsular for the wildlife. They are all first class all the way and won't disappoint. They also have buses running regularly to get you around the city.

The room allocated was very comfortable and spacious. it was very bright with a nice outlook. The staff I encountered were all very helpful and friendly. The TV had a good selection of channels including movies and sports. The hotel is a 5/10 minute walk into the main shopping/ eating area of Dunedin and 10 /15 minute walk to the InterCity bus stop in the city. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers.

Lovely hotel at St Clair beach with parking underneath the hotel. The room was spacious and warm with everything we needed. We really appreciated that we were able to change our booking at the last minute due to some changes to dental appointments we were in Dunedin for so thanks for being accommodating around that. We would definitely stay here again when we need to be in Dunedin overnight.

This property is very well located, walking distance to the Octagon, Railway Satation and accross the bridge to the city cruise port (not Port Chalmers!). The focus on magic was a fun aspect of the hotel. Everything worked. No aircon (but not often needed in Dunedin) Reasonably priced, but you get what you pay for.
