We chose Darfield because we were doing some research nearby. Darfield is perfectly located to find agricultural supplies and outdoor clothing which we needed. Darfield, just 35km from Christchurch, links all routes also to.the south and west and north. Like many south island small towns, Darfield has a sense of civic pride and is easy to navigate around or through.

What an amazing unit!
What an amazing unit! We stopped over for one night's accommodation & it turned out to be one of our highlights. The rooms were immaculate & decorated to perfection.
The place was clean, spacious & had all the comforts of home.
A great place to stay - would do it again & highly recommend to others.

We liked the proximity to the main highway, although we didn't need to go out for food, we came back through Darfield on our return from the West Coast and found a wonderful bakery in the town centre.

The people in all businesses we visited. stayed at, dined at or simply browsed in were all very friendly and helpful where possible. Would highly recommend a break in anyone's journey at Darfeild would be relaxing, away from the busy busstle of the busy Christchurch City.
