I had the absolute pleasure of staying in this tiny house, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how immaculately clean the space was. Every corner sparkled, and the attention to detail in maintaining hygiene was truly commendable.
The location is another highlight of this unique lodging. Nestled in a quiet yet accessible area, it provides the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. Whether you're looking to explore nearby attractions or simply enjoy a peaceful retreat, this place delivers.
What truly made my stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional hospitality. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. Their warm and friendly approach made me feel right at home from the start.
Overall, this house accommodation is a shining example of how simplicity and thoughtful design can come together to create an extraordinary experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well-located, and incredibly welcoming place to stay.

The location is stunning. We stayed in the cottage. It was lovely and warm with the log burner going. The beds were lovely and comfortable. The cleanliness was outstanding.
Our hosts were fantastic- very responsive and happy to chat about the farm. The farm tour was excellent too.
Happy our little dogs were welcome.
The Godley Hotel offers country-style accommodation in the alpine village of Lake Tekapo on the South Island. The hotel is centrally located in the village with views of the lake and mountains.
Lovely comfortable older-style motel not far out of Tekapo.
Lovely comfortable older-style motel not far out of Tekapo. Has been refurbished and had everything we needed. Shower was great & beds were very comfortable. Surprisingly quiet despite being near main road. Host was friendly & welcoming. Maybe a little small for more than 2 or 3 people or for more than a couple of nights. Travellers need to bring all food etc as no shops in settlement.

The location worked out for our travel arrangements.
The location worked out for our travel arrangements. It was different and the owners were hard working and was a good overnight stopover. A restaurant/hotel was located 6 mins up the road and a little general store across road with a bit of history and garden furniture to see.

who could not do enough for us. The only thing that was a pity was the motel is right on a bend and the traffic is quite noisy as it comes around motel - but you cannot do anything about that. We still managed to have a good nights sleep.

I was told they cannot take my (long confirmed) booking for booking.com did not notify them the change. So we, two adults, two children and two dogs, had to drive all the way at night back to Christchurch. We are lucky it's our (original second) last day of our school holiday trip.
I think this solution, if we can call this as a solution, is very very unprofessional in operating of accommodation.
As comparison, our host in Queenstown did not receive an explicit notification from booking.com either for my change. But they explained to us and provide a real solution by upgrading our room actually.

Burkes Pass Country Motel was out of the business of the Tekapo township, surrounded by farmlands, it was a quaint and cosy. The owners are beyond lovely, while the sheep and chickens add to the calm, restful atmosphere. The rooms have all you might need, excellent shower water pressure and a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy with a coffee/tea. It was an authentic New Zealand stay, true to our culture of warmth and simplicity.
The house was beautiful, peaceful and very warm. Great cooking facilities and the most comfortable beds. Staying in Burkes Pass was such a good option. We went for a walk and had dinner in Tekapo, and then saw a stunning sunset as we drove over the high country (about 20minutes) to Burkes Pass.
Burkes Pass Motel is small and the location is picturesque, but the rooms are well set up and very comfortable. There was everything we needed to prepare an evening meal and we enjoyed our stay here.
Great little motel, owners are very friendly, livestock was welcoming, ordered a meal to be left in room as Burkes Pass can be quite isolated, so worked well.
