This was our second stay at the Britannia. It was as absolutely fabulous as the first time - if not better! This is a hotel that is worthy of its five stars. The attention to detail from room amenities, to the cleanliness (everywhere), to the lack of scuff marks/stains on carpets/furniture, to an amazing breakfast in the most beautiful room, and to the most incredibly friendly and helpful staff …the list could go on! The location is perfect - great for sightseeing. The choice of restaurants either within the hotel or nearby is great. We chose to return to Trondheim and the Britannia, specifically, to celebrate our anniversary - it did not disappoint! Thank you to all at the Britannia for making our stay so special!!

I love how compact the city was, and the buses and trams made it easy to get around and the day ticket was very affordable. Loved the cathedral, the lake and the fortress. Also visited the two Kunstmuseums. Beautiful scenic city.

One of the most scenic cities I've ever visited.
One of the most scenic cities I've ever visited. The last time I was there,20 years ago, it was winter. It was very pleasant visiting there in Summer this time. The cheapest place we found to eat at was the Burger King. All restaurants were very expensive because we come from a country which has a very weak currency. It is very easy to get around and see most of the sights on foot.

Beautiful place, not overcrowded.
Beautiful place, not overcrowded. Attended the parkrun on the Saturday, met a bunch of lovely folks there. The parkrun itself was tough. Had a lovely run along the fjord, lovely views and natural surroundings. Buses and trains were excellent. Went to the cinema, a comfortable experienece. Don't bother taking cash - everything is paid for by card. Plenty eateries for all tastes. Had a delicious dinner at the Indian Tandoori.

The service was very friendly and helpfully. The location of the hotel was near to the train station, which has always two sides of a coin, but for sure expected. The room was very clean and the space was bigger as usual in such an hotel. Relation between price and comfort is great from my point of view. We would book it again.
The airport bus has a stop to the airport right outside Chesterfield Hotel. Tommy at the frontdesk - he was very helpful and approachable. The rooms were clean and spacious. We were also able to leave our luggages at the reception after checkout.
Fabulous hotel. Everything seems new and clean. Spacious room- we paid extra for river view and it was worth it. Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. Also the cheapest hotel in our whole tour of Norway! Loved it.
Not my first time at this beautiful hotel and I came back for a reason.
Beautiful hotel at a great location. Perfect service, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and a wonderful breakfast.
