Very nice and clean cottage with a truly astoundingl view. The man at the reception was super nice and helpful!! There is a small Joker 4 minutes walking distance away. You can park a car right outside the cottage which is also really nice.

How the buildings are so much part of its surrounding and community. Had a wonderful stay in the dorm room on a quiet day. Shared a few special conversations with others. It’s a place where you should honestly stay longer….

Dinner was exceptional--my compliments to the chef! Best meal of our trip! Breakfast was also delicious, and the renovated barn setting for breakfast was charming. Speciai thanks for the homemade jam for my croissant! All of the common areas were lovely and well appointed. One of the staff provided over-the-top help with getting the EV car charger to work--in the rain! Thank you!

We stayed 2 nights at Jostedal Hotel to visit the nearby valleys. The location is exceptional, as well as the cleanliness and comfort of the room, which had views of two waterfalls and part of the valley. The owner was kind, funny, affectionate... and she gave us many useful explanations about dinner. Very good breakfast and dinner, in a warm room. There was a homemade strawberry jam that... Mmmm....
The location is excellent for exploring Nigardsbreen and Styggevatn Dam. The family room was comfortable and has a nice balcony where one could sit to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious and the breakfast has a good variety of food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, including coming up with a vegan dinner for my daughter.
The hotel is located in a convenient place for several hikes, including glacier hikes. The surrounding nature is amazing. The room is clean and comfortable. There is an EV charger in the parking lot for a reasonable price.
