We stayed here on three occasions for overnight layovers during an extended tour of Norway. Location at the airport was ideal (both for flights and rental cars), room was lovely, restaurant was very good. Staff were amazing.

If ever a place showed the difference between the UK and Norway, the airport is it. Clean lots of staff, quick through check In and security, great wi fi planes leaving on time, train under the airport electric buses, etcetc. Then there's the UK. I'll stop there.

our flight left before 7am and so we didn't want to risk...
our flight left before 7am and so we didn't want to risk weather and other things trying to get there, so we stayed at the Radisson Red. The cost wasn't much different than staying downtown Oslo, and the hotel was much quieter than staying downtown. If you're going by train and on a budget, I would recommend getting what you want to eat and drink at the grocery at the train station first.

Gardermoen is an airport, with all the problems connected...
Gardermoen is an airport, with all the problems connected with flying and climate change; ie use it as little as possible.
There is a very interesting one hour walk, accessible on foot, along a deep ravine, from the end of the runway, through untouched forest. Can recommend it.
The airport is smart and well laid-out and many (expensive) facilities. Will definitely go there again, but only sparingly

Size is intimidating.
Size is intimidating. It is a very large entry hall if you are not familiar with it and Information doesn't appear readily available. Proximity of inexpensive lodging is a real plus. Additional shuttle cost a minor problem.

I came from Oslo city centre, so I have to get on the train to the Oslo airport and an airport shuttle bus to reach the hotel. But it was not a problem. Upon arrival Staffs were smiling , very attentive and helpful. Quick and easy check in. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. There is an early morning airport shuttle bus that stops right in front of the hotel and it take 10 minutes to reach the airport. Very convenient for an early morning flight.
B&B really to close to the Oslo airport, you can reach it in 15 minutes with bus 42 from platform 48 outside the arrival of the airport.
Perfect the breakfast that starts and 4 am and the possibility to have dinner at the hotel since it is not in a big city center.
Perfect if you arrive late at night and you have a flight the morning after.
For me it is a yes!
This is the best hotel to stay at within walking distance to Oslo Airport Gardermoen. High standard - great comfort - tasty breakfast and serviceminded staff all the way. A bit cheaper than the Blue option - Red is my choice whenever in need for a hotel close to airport (well worth a extra NOK when your flight is at 07AM or before..
