We stayed over the weekend and could easily have stayed at least one more night. Especially because the drive up was around 5 hours from Oslo. The scenery here is idyllic and perfect for hiking and mountain walks since you are in-between two national parks, Jotunheimen and Breheimen. Would definitely recommend if you want to experience Norway and the inland scenery.
family hotel with the story, cosy public halls with fireplaces, antique paintings, rifles and furniture, very interesting story of the masterpiece column in the yard. Place with an ambience in the middle of mountains, really much to see except just your bed
The hotel are in several buildings, some of which are historic (more than 150 years old). Therefore the rooms are smaller than you would expect, but they are very nice and clean.
The hotel has a beautiful breakfast hall, and Is in a beautiful position, at the top of a hill, in front of the mountain.
Good the dinner and the breakfast
