The location of this hotel is exceptional. It is close to the light rail system that runs from the Bergen Airport, through the city, and to the historic port area in about 1/2 hour. The hotel is integrated into the historic district of ancient harborside structures. The buffet breakfast was the best I have seen in any hotel interms of quality and variety of offerings, the hours of service, and the comfort and appearance of the facilities.

Gateway to the western fjords, Bergen is a picture-perfect postcard of Norway at its best. Colorful, wooden houses in UNESCO World Heritage-listed Bryggen contrast wonderfully with the lush greenery of the surrounding Seven Mountains.
For fantastic views of Norway’s 2nd largest city, hop on the cable car to Ulriken Mountain. Alternatively, hike or take the funicular railway up to Fløyen Mountain. With beaches sheltered from the North Sea by islands, Bergen is Norway’s busiest port and a popular starting point for fjord cruises and deep sea fishing.
The fish market in the narrow streets of the historic centre is a popular attraction, while just north is 12th-century St Mary’s Church. Around 1,000 years younger is Bergenhus, one of Norway’s best-preserved forts. Further north is Gamle Bergen, a reconstructed wooden village offering insight into the past.
Cobbled Strandgaten street and Lagunen Storsenter shopping center are just some shopping options, but items aren’t cheap. As you wander around the city look for work by Dolk, Norway’s best-known street artist. Other cultural attractions include many museums and a good music scene ranging from classic to indie.
Booking.com’s range of Bergen accommodation extends out towards Bergen Airport in Flesland, the departure point for many workers on the offshore oil and gas rigs.

Bergen is a clean, vibrant city with excellent public transportation. The light rail system runs from the airport to the historic port area, and serves much of the city. The light rail trains are fast, although there are many stops, and runs are frequent. Bergen has a cog railway to a mountain-top near the harbor, and a newly rebuilt cable car to a higher mountain to another peak. Both offer spectacular views of the city, the fjords, and the mountains around Bergen. A fjord cruise is something that should not be missed.

Its pretty and easy to get around, plenty of shopping, history or walking in nature so no matter what you want Bergen kind of has it. It has a lack of the usual city, food chain outlets like taco bell, pizza express etc, but i see this as a bonus as you are forced to eat in the local food outlets which are pretty good, and there are MacDonald's if your committed to your fast food.

Bergen is a great place for a short city break.
Bergen is a great place for a short city break. There are plenty of museums covering various different interests, there is a lot of water front to visit if that's your thing as well as boat trips, and there's easy access to nature via the funicular and all the hiking opportunities at the top of the hill. There's a good choice of bars and restaurants all within an easy walk of the city centre.

Truly amazing city, everyone I met was friendly and could speak both Norsk and English which was a great help as I only started learning the language whilst there
City was walkable to the main city attractions from my hostel in årstad
Bus and tram system were great for getting around fast and far cheaper than the UK. They use card payment and no physical ticket, when the 'tickets' are checked, present your bank card instead as the ticket is on there

The city was beautiful, relaxing and easy to negotiate.
The city was beautiful, relaxing and easy to negotiate. The people were remarkable, very nice, friendly and polite. I was very impressed also with the harbour and views from the hill overlooking Bergen. Ferry trips very expensive as we're restaurants and menus very limited

When I first booked this trip I asked for a room in Hotel Magic Exhibition. However, when I eventually found out that the "Exhibition" hotel was Unstaffed and did not have 24-hour Check-in, your Customer Service Department helped me to transfer my booking to your sister hotel MAGIC HOTEL KORSKIRKEN, BERGEN. The whole of this review refers to my 6-night stay from 17- 23 April 2024 in your MAGIC HOTEL KORSKIRKEN, BERGEN, NORWAY
Fantastic location, really close to the station so perfect for the Norway in a Nutshell tour that we did. Worked really well for our arrival late at night as the self check in was really easy and smooth
Plenty of nice places to eat and drink nearby with all the tourist sites a short walk away.
The room itself was nice, very clean and the communication from the hotel before our stay was clear and helpful.
It was our first experience in hostel. Usually my budget allow more comfortable hotels, not not in Bergen, Norway :)
It was relatively OK. I feared it might be worse. but generally it was a nice stay at goods room with good breakfast, which is WOW for hostel. Nice views from room window on the city
We stayed here for one night while transiting through Bergen. The hotel was easy walking distance from the train station. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast had a huge variety of food. I love that in Norway - even though we had a double bed, you get single doonas.
Games, free coffee, spa, and location. Really great!
Also receptionists or waiters we’re all fantastic. Also breakfast soooo many options!!!
And all that for an affordable and low price compared to other hotels in Bergen/Norway.
