Location was great, service and staff excellent. A lot of offers were not available for us due to time constraints but there was a variety of different extras for wellness and health. The rooms were spacious and quiet, and sustainability is priority. Plus, the weather wasn't too bad... We will be back for more!
Hotel Buren is a cosy family hotel, only a 5-minute walk from the harbour and the lighthouse. The hotel has a very convenient location for the ferry, village centre, and nature reserve.

Upon arriving at Pension de Wadvaarder (through the back gate), you’ll enter into a cozy living room and dinning area. Gerrit & Annemieke have a great sense of style and it shows throughout the property, including the garden. The bedroom was spacious and had a small reading room with books (in Dutch). For breakfast you are provided a checklist of items to choose from which are then freshly assembled for you in the morning. The items are excellent quality, some derived from Terschelling (cheese, cranberry compote, eggs…) - lekker!
The pension is close to the village center and bus stop. Hikes on the dike, in the forrest, on the dunes, and beach are easily manageable. Of course you can also bike if you want to move around faster and farther.
