The room was comfortable. Luckily the room had a fan cause the weather was very hot. The staff were very friendly.
The hotel is ideally located if you're visiting the area, and has bike storage facilities if you are doing a bike tour.
The restaurant is good for dinner and they also offer good breakfast options.
We were visiting, from all corners of the world, for a family reunion. Hotel het Oude Post Kantoor was the perfect place for us to relax, regroup, and be together. We booked the entire property for our stay, which felt like such a luxury. The owners were extremely accommodating of our fluctuating arrival time and variety of guests (and requests). We truly felt at home! Breakfast was delicious, and everyone was very helpful. Great location- walking distance to all, and simple beautiful to just walk around. Thanks for an excellent stay!
We decided to stay here for just one night on our way to our final destination, but had I known it was such a beautiful place, we would have extended our stay. Kasteel Engelenburg is a historic hotel with lots of atmosphere which offers delicious breakfasts and dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious and comfortable room in what I believe were the converted stables. It had its own terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. We will definitely make an effort to come back!
We love, love, love this place and come back to Engelenburg once in a while. The atmosphere is wonderful- a bit of royalty, a bit of safari, a bit of luxury, a bit of vintage charme. Not everything is perfect but this is exactly what it makes the hotel so special.
The restaurant is excellent. I would definitely recommend to dine here. And of course you need to enjoy their terrace with view to the lake and the golf course.
