Lovely location. Basic accommodation but clean and everything worked well. It was not what or where we booked but it suited our needs well. Oh, and the view was lovely towards the beach and towards the hills.

It is new and clean. As it was close to monsoon season, very few guests. The staff did try to show how to play some local games.. secluded due to the nature of Tioman island. Only 1 restaurant but the chef did try to accede to individual meal request that is not on the menu.

We spent 11 nights here at the beginning of the monsoon season (mid-November) and were lucky as it only rained for the last two days, otherwise it was sunny and hot.
The hotel is a very lovingly designed small complex that blends in perfectly with its surroundings and almost disappears into the rainforest. Great importance is obviously attached to sustainability, which can be seen from the building materials to the rubbish bins (no plastic bags). The water quality in the restaurant and on the island is excellent and the water is safe to drink, even for Europeans.
The rooms are detached, large, comfortable and lovingly furnished huts that are connected to each other and to the centre of the resort (reception, Tamarind restaurant, spa...) by wooden walkways. There are different categories - from those that stand "in the back", i.e. in the middle of the rainforest to those that are enthroned above the cliffs and offer a magnificent sea view to particularly large chalets with their own small infinity pool situated almost directly on the beach.
The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and courteous and cater to guests' every wish.
There are three restaurants in the resort. Due to the season (monsoon, few guests), the small restaurant directly at the end of the jetty was closed. In the "Tamarind" restaurant you could enjoy Italian and Malay cuisine.
There is a very long time slot for breakfast from early morning to mid-afternoon. As there were so few guests present, there was no buffet but breakfast was served instead. First there was toast with butter and jam and a platter of tropical fruit, plus coffee, tea and various fruit/yoghurt cocktails. Then you could choose from a large selection of sweet and savoury "main courses" for breakfast, from French toast to crepes, waffles, eggs in any style, sausages, bacon, ham and cheese to even a Malay soup pot.

Clean, spacious, excellent showers & ideally located for diving
It is awesome trip for my family. The Island hopping trip with beautiful corals and lucky sighting of sea turtles swimming by, was the best. Short trek to the water fall on route to Juara beach was great experience. Marine park was a smaller than expected but good. Tekek was good place to stay as it has everything needed - Food, groceries, duty free (surprisingly small) and souvenirs.

Stayed at Kampung Juara only.
Stayed at Kampung Juara only. Love the friendliness and the chillax environment in Kampung Juara. The dive sites are amazing. And dive packages by Dyve Marine Centre is reasonable and accommodating. A few restaurants serving Malay, Chinese and International dishes at affordable prices. Can rent motorcycles or bicycles to move around. A light hike to a waterfall sight. A perfect place for serious diving experience and quiet relax vacation, not a flashy tourist spot. Hence do research well if choose Kampung Juara as the transport fee to Marine Park or popular ABC beach is quite pricey. Love the place and definitely will return

Do your homework, know the place you're staying and which jetty to get off from. Be respectful of the locals and your surroundings, manage your expectation. If you intend to go around (without renting bikes), it will be helpful to have comfortable footwear. Get in touch with the local guides to take you around or better, for a hike to the mountains. Dive, snorkel or even better, take the kayak and explore as much as you can. Take note of the operation hours of the eateries (ask the locals) as mostly open only for specific meal time. Have fun!

We loved this island, the rainforest is amazing with some beautiful waterfalls, cool water to swim and fabulous wildlife.
The beaches are pristine, no rubbish, wide stretches of sand and crystal clear water, great snorkelling with reefs and fishes a plenty.
Food and accommodation is good and reasonably priced .
We walked everywhere and got a taxi to and from the port which was a truck - we stood up in the back and it was great fun. This is one of our favourite islands in the world.

Stayed 3D2N at X Rector Minsu with my family, I can said it’s a hidden gem of Kampung Genting Tioman!
I personally been to Tioman Island few times and stayed at different site(Juara, Paya, Genting), but this time, the experience is so different! If you wanted a peace and quiet retreat with your family & friends, this is the right place!
The 2 "beach houses" are really cute, new, clean and with nice decoration. The bathroom is almost like a 4 star hotel's ;) Directly facing the sea and practically on the beach. One house has a detached patio with a hammock, really nice! Eno and his wife are always around and happy to help.
