Our guide and boat driver were excellent tour operators. We saw plenty of wildlife including elephants, orang-utan and hornbills. Great experience and we loved the lodge's rustic nature and the river location.

The rooms are right in front of the river where your boat excursion will depart from. You can do a meal package + excursion at good price at their reception desk.
They have a restaurant which does limited Malaysian dishes only.

The property is situated atop a 100m high ridge and so stands in mighty isolation amongst the surrounding rainforest and has tremendous views down to the Kinabatangan river.
The food is all inclusive and was of extremely high quality and you just pay for your drinks.
The two cruises we did were fantastic and the hike along the ridge has spectacular views on clear days ( you can see as far as Sandakan).

The kinabatangan river is a lovely setting to see an array of wildlife. There are various companies doing river cruising so it’s up to your budget and what you want to get out of it. Our lodge was simple, clean and spacious but with everything you needed to get an awesome experience. Our guides and boat operators were highly skilled and felt 100% safe on the water. They went out of their way to ensure we got the best experience. The food was exceptional and plentiful. All the staff including Linda, Nein, Tenten, and Sa were very professional.
