Beds were very very hard. Too hard. So hard they put my limbs to sleep at night. Not comfortable beds, We were also not told the breakfast buffet was across the street in another location until the second night we were there...so the breakfast on the first day was in that little restaurant and very limited--the main reason we booked at Gamma was for the location and the breakfast buffet.

The zocalo was fantastic with lot of positive vibes.
The city does not have too may things to see, but it is a good place to know the culture of a small town in Mexico.
This was the first town in Mexico where the charges such as 8.50 and 42.50 were common. {Meaning they used a coin of 50 centavos}
I tried Margarita with mango, which was a great drink!
I also tried the famous dish of Puebla, CEMITA! It was fabulous.
The restaurant name of the bill says, "Comal Cocina de Antojo Gastronomica Catedral"
I stayed at Hotel Isabel and that was a fabulous hotel, real steal at 23 US$ per night!
Taxis were not easy to come by in the city centre, so I recommend walking a block and then booking app taxi.

Historically rich city, with lots to see and do. The ambiance is relaxed, warm, and safe. The downtown area is ideal for strolling, eating out, and making discoveries. The world-class Museo Amparo, just a few blocks from the hotel is not to be missed.

The library and cathedral are amazing. Try to get to the weekend markets. We also got a taxi (quite cheap) to Cholula to see the wonderful church perched over the town.

Puebla Puebla is a city with a lot of history of the conquistadores. I don't recommend this city to people that don't like to visit cathedrals or churches. My favorite place to eat was El comal delicious sopa pueblana. Very easy to get around down town. You can take uber to visit los fuertes or to go any place you want to visit or take the turibus. Puebla state has many small magical towns and waterfalls. My favorite place was the library Palafoxiana.

Beautiful vibe for a walk, recommend taking a tour with sightseeing bus (we were with Spanish speaking family member so we took the original old bus which has the excursion in Spanish only, it’s an open roof bus and it was fun).
We liked the live concert of Mozart and famous local soprano in the biggest once in Latin America library (unesco heritage), the main square and Puebla cathedral, the museum of railway, and of course, countless churches.

Beautiful town with a great atmosphere - we only had time to explore just a bit but would love to have stayed longer to explore additional neighbourhoods and activities, hikes, sites, etc. Lots of great food and drink options and a great vibe from locals. We loved it here!

Daniel and his son have been one of the best hosts of all our trip in Mexico. They truly understand what hospitality is, we felt really welcomed.The top room is beautiful, comfortable, clean with an access to the terraces. The situation is also perfect, in the heart of Puebla, on a very charming little square. We spent 3 wonderful days at the dear.
The room was clean and large. The breakfast was the best part of staying at the hotel: a full Mexican breakfast with fruit, a variety of different dishes for breakfast to follow and sweet bread, coffee and juice. The beds were comfy.
Spacious room, convenient location, supplies in the room including facial tissues and slippers which may not be available in many other hotels we stayed in Mexico. But best is their staff, Eric is extremely helpful and professional.
