Manhattan Business Hotel was a great place to stay immediately after our flight to Male. Their airport transfers and communication was excellent, staff being very professional and explaining everything we needed to know. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great, and the coffee was exceptional. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the Maldives.

Male is amazing for all the wrong reasons. Small island inhabited by 200,000 people. It is a pocket big city. You can walk it and no need to ride it. Still, the city belongs to the motorbikes. Male hotels have little to offer as the city has little to offer. Immemorable English breakfasts. Paradoxically, narrow streets of a big city provide shade, so needed in this climate.

Visiting Male added to our anthropology learning in a very interesting way. Male was totally different than local islands, busy, full of shops, markets, monuments, amazing park, cafes, restaurants. And superb exchange rate of USD/MVR compared to islands!

Male is best for a stopover for a night if you have an early flight as the commute to the islands may not make it possible to catch your flight.
When I flew in I was able to catch a ferry to an island I was staying. My flight out was very early in the morning so I had to stay in Male. Very crowded and stressful in my opinion.

Its very easy to go around, was able to walk everywhere, did not need a taxi. I would recommend eating out by the seaside restaurant, they have beautiful views and amazing ambience in the evening. Otherwise, I will not recommend staying in Male if you are on holidays, you can stay in the nearby islands and visit Male late afternoon.

Male is a beautiful, clean and safe city with very warm people around. Lot of small eating places around. Proximity to the local markets as well. Very easy to move around the city by foot, bus transport or taxi. Jetty's are available to visit nearby islands/atolls as well. This holiday in Maldives was most relaxing and chilled out!

It was great to disconnect for only one night. We are working for another resort in Maldives and it was great ! The villa was amazing and well maintain, the guest amenities are good (l’occitane product) mini bar is good too, quit expensive but what I like is that even the AI guest should pay for their minibar(not the case in our property).
The staff are professional, smiling and very competent.
No really, I just a debrief with my GM and I recommend this resort for sure.

Personal was very nice to us, they picked us up on the airport, made good Maldives breakfast. It is also good location in the middle of city, so you can see nice streets a went for a walk from there. I wouldnt recommend to walk from the airport and search it by your own as you can get lost :-) but of course you would find it :-) Anyway, it was good for one night stay before going to islands.
The service, the efficient and pleasant staff, the transfer from the airport and to the port the next day, the view from the reastaurant is stunning, the welcoming in the hotel...the hotel is excellent specially if u need to sleep over in Male and continuing your journey the next day or staying there for several days. The location is also excelent if u r visiting the city.
