Dhiguveli Breeze, hotel in Dhigurah

Located a few steps from Dhigurah North West Beach, Dhiguveli Breeze offers 3-star accommodations in Dhigurah and has a garden, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

They had a nice breakfast. I had some tummy issues during our week there and the chef was great in helping me meet my dietary needs. The restaurant is one of the top two on the island. For this alone, I was glad we stayed there. The head waiter Cuckoo (incorrect spelling) was a superior manager and uber attentive to the guests needs. He impressed us from the first of many meals. We ate elsewhere but repeatedly came back to the menu and the service at Dhiguveli Breeze's "Aveli Restaurant". Udara at the front desk always had a ready smile and was so keen to help me with a special gesture for my fro a future guest who's coming for her honeymoon. I liked the location of it because it felt private and yet was right in the thick of things. The hotel manager was genuinely interested in his guests. He was so pleasant to interact with!

Overall my husband and I were really happy with our decision to stay 6 nights at Dhiguveli Maldives. It's in a great location, maybe 50m from the water and right at the end of the developed part of the island. The room had everything I like - a balcony, good AC, big comfortable soft bed with nice linens and good pillows, bedside tables, storage, good lighting, a bathroom with counterspace and an enclosed shower with hot water and great water pressure. The restaurant was on the top floor and was great. The service was excellent and the menu had good options, including a variety of vegetarian choices. We ate here 8 or 9 times. But there are a number of other great restaurants within a few minute walk if you want a change. The beach in Dhigurah is one of the longest beaches in the Maldives at 3km... absolutely gorgeous and secluded as you walk further down. Go for a long walk or bike ride to the end of the island to the sandbank and bring your snorkeling gear to stop around the Turtle Reef area (marked on Google maps). We didn't end up diving or booking any excursions through the hotel but used Oiyaa Watersports down the road to book private trips. The staff was really friendly and helpful. They booked us a private speedboat from Maamigili to Dhigurah on arrival and booked our return trip of taxi, speedboat, domestic flight back to Male.

We liked the Main Street, with the little shops and cafes.

We liked the Main Street, with the little shops and cafes. Lovely atmosphere. We envied the local residents who live on this beautiful island…..very calm and peaceful and safe. The cafes were affordable and the helpings were generous. We enjoyed the bush walk to the sand bar, and we enjoyed swimming at two popular spots. It is easy to get around Dhigurah as we love walking, but tuktuks would have been easy to use if we had needed one. The island is mostly clean, and the homes are well tended, some with pretty gardens.

Dhigurah offers the most beautiful white sand beaches of...

Dhigurah offers the most beautiful white sand beaches of over 2km long leading to an amazing natural sandbank on one side with equally interesting rocky/former coral beaches on the other side. A good path leads through the jungle on which you can walk, cycle or get a tuk-tuk ride. There is an abundance of sea life on the house reefs and good swimming and snorkelling excursions on offer to see whalesharks, manta rays, turtles, dolphins, flying fish, and many other species. It is a paradise in the Indian Ocean surrounded by sparkling blue, green waters.

Beautiful island with extremely friendly people and long sandy beach. We had great time during the diving and snorcheling. Island is very green. It is challenging to find fresh fishes and sea food served - it suprised us very much. Local breakfast is delicious, but we didnt get why the restaurant menus are so full of burgers, sandviches and pizzas :-(

Loved the west beach , the soft sands and clear waters.

Loved the west beach , the soft sands and clear waters. Then the sandbar was magical, but a long walk! The locals need some educating on littering or clean-ups around such pristine tropical paradise. Dunes on the main drag, is the best bang for your buck for meals, but has the usual fare as on other inhabitated islands.

Went in the low season, so it was with less tourists around. Perfect place to forget troubles - white sand beach, azure lagoon, lively reef. Excursions to see mantas and whale sharks, but even while snorkeling around by yourself, you chance to see a turtle or a reef shark.

If you like sea life and activities this is one of it that you would enjoy!!!! We were lucky to swim with Manta rays, missed the Sharks this time, and saw a pod of Dolphins. And lucky enough when we went for fishing got variety of fishes and the Chef cooked it for us.
