Beach Lily Dhigurah, hotel in Dhigurah

Set in Dhigurah, 100 metres from Dhigurah North West Beach, Beach Lily Dhigurah offers air-conditioned accommodation and a garden.

The island of Dhigurah is truly a paradise, and we will absolutely be returning! Here, however, I’ll aim to provide an objective review focused solely on our experience with the guesthouse, Beach Lily. Having stayed at several accommodations on the island, we have some comparisons to share—there were elements that pleasantly surprised us, as well as areas that could use improvement. Positives: Prime Location: Beach Lily boasts one of the best locations on the island, situated at the very edge of the hotel area and in close proximity to the North West Beach. This made beach access exceptionally convenient and enjoyable. Exceptional Excursions: The excursions offered by Beach Lily were a highlight of our trip and even stand out as some of the most memorable experiences of our lives! Mohammed personally accompanied us on these adventures, offering invaluable advice during activities like fishing and snorkeling. We went sunset fishing, swam with manta rays, and even witnessed whale sharks. After the fishing trip, our catch was skillfully cooked and served at the Beach View restaurant—delicious and unforgettable! Welcoming Atmosphere: Being a newer establishment (opened just a few months ago), Beach Lily is gradually settling into its groove. The lobby is surrounded by lush tropical plants that are meticulously cared for, adding to the charm of the space.

Dhiguveli Maldives, hotel in Dhigurah

Facing the seafront, Dhiguveli Maldives offers 3-star accommodation in Dhigurah and has a private beach area, garden and terrace.

The hotel is right opposite the beach (the bikini beach is just 150m away). Mal is very helpful, starting with answering all my questions and giving all the info on a subject- going above and beyond - really appreciate this! 🙏 The waiters are very good too- very polite and we were always looked after while eating in the restaurant. All in all, everything seems to be running very smooth in the hotel.

Whaleshark Beach, hotel in Dhigurah

Boasting a garden, Whaleshark Beach is situated in Dhigurah in the Ari Atoll region, 100 metres from Dhigurah North West Beach.

The rooms were kept spotless throughout our stay and fresh towels and water were provided daily. The food for breakfast and for optional lunch and dinner was very tasty and the level of service at reception and at table side was excellent. Lola, the manager was exceptionally helpful and together with her hard-working team of staff ensured our stay was perfect. Lola also kindly arranged a birthday message and tasty cake for my birthday and she went out of her way to help arrange our arrival and outgoing travel. The day trip organised by Mr Maduji was the best my family and I had ever been on. We saw whalesharks, manta rays, dolphins, flying fish, and 100s of different species on two house reefs and the packed lunch was delicious. Whaleshark Beach Guest House is a truly friendly and welcoming 'hotel' offering 5 star service to all its guests and we would love to visit again in the future.

Dhigurah offers the most beautiful white sand beaches of over 2km long leading to an amazing natural sandbank on one side with equally interesting rocky/former coral beaches on the other side. A good path leads through the jungle on which you can walk, cycle or get a tuk-tuk ride. There is an abundance of sea life on the house reefs and good swimming and snorkelling excursions on offer to see whalesharks, manta rays, turtles, dolphins, flying fish, and many other species. It is a paradise in the Indian Ocean surrounded by sparkling blue, green waters.

Beautiful island with extremely friendly people and long sandy beach. We had great time during the diving and snorcheling. Island is very green. It is challenging to find fresh fishes and sea food served - it suprised us very much. Local breakfast is delicious, but we didnt get why the restaurant menus are so full of burgers, sandviches and pizzas :-(

Loved the west beach , the soft sands and clear waters.

Loved the west beach , the soft sands and clear waters. Then the sandbar was magical, but a long walk! The locals need some educating on littering or clean-ups around such pristine tropical paradise. Dunes on the main drag, is the best bang for your buck for meals, but has the usual fare as on other inhabitated islands.

Went in the low season, so it was with less tourists around. Perfect place to forget troubles - white sand beach, azure lagoon, lively reef. Excursions to see mantas and whale sharks, but even while snorkeling around by yourself, you chance to see a turtle or a reef shark.

What a fabulous Island - easy to stay in a wide choice of hotels. Choose B&B as plenty of places to eat. For example Dhiguveli Maldives and Dhiguveli Breeze, and Ufa were fab - most mains 8-12$, and pizza at Bliss (but book early) we even ate at the Beach Restaurant near the habour - great local food and Mosquitos haha :) Not good food or service TME retreat restuarant or Bonthi - all miserable and food average The Thai near the harbour good food and service but closer to $15-20 per dish A little on the island - one third local with shops and cafes, one third hotels. Final third was rainforest down to the famous sandbar - a long 45-60 minute walk along the beach IF the tide is right. Beware coming back after sunset - its a very very long and dark - you can book a taxi to meet you at the spit end. Its a great bike ride costing £8 per day per bike worth a visit. Bikini Beach is the place to enjoy the sun and sand. As a Muslim Island there is a dress code of shorts to the knees and sleeved teeshirts as a minimum, until you are in Bikini beach. Also the sand bar is a locals beach and no bikinis. Such a beautiful Island - a totally different feel from a resort, more relaxed, almost like a back packer island but with resort level comfort and great local food :)
