Reviews for this hotel are not great but the Kenneday is not as bad as implied. Certainly there are better hotels but this is decent value at peak times - a large plot with pool and nice gardens/bar area. Good helpful staff. Opposite is a 5 star hotel with a great restaurant if you want to splash out.

Be bold and eat where the locals go for harira (soup), tangia (stew baked in clay pots in bakeries) or greasy doughnuts with mint tea for dinner. The big square is a place to observe and (if that's your thing) take a picture of snake/monkey/various bird performers though it is a thing that would be forbidden anywhere in EU or elsewhere. Try to avoid paying to much and haggle the price down to a half. And most of all enjoy the kind and friendly people that Morrocans are, accept the tea and take it slowly.

3 days is enough for a short trip. 2 days for looking around and shopping, and 1 day for a dessert tour with quad biking, camel ride and dinner. It’s a nice place to walk around and see the slightly primitive buildings with interesting architecture, the simple lives of the locals and the unbelievable amount of markets.
The bad side was that wherever you go people are trying to sell you things and insist a lot. If you move away from one person the next is waiting for you. It becomes tedious to tell them that you don’t need that or already have it.
So don’t be rude to them as this is how they make their living but it’s not a good way to make money imo.
A lot of bargaining, the starting price normally will be more than double the price they are willing to let it go for.
Also a lot of smokers, I don’t recommend taking your children there. If you do go cover your mouths and nose for comfort.

Marrakech is a vibrant city full of culture, history, and charm. Explore the lively souks, visit iconic landmarks like the Bahia Palace and Jemaa el-Fnaa, and relax in the serene Jardin Majorelle. While bustling and sometimes overwhelming, its rich traditions and unique energy make it an unforgettable destination.

Walking round Marrakesh is a unique experience - street traders making and selling everything while cars, motor bikes and pedestrians share the same space. Unforgettable. Most surprising was the quality of the food and what was pleasing was the politeness of everyone - very little of in your face selling.

The only thing negative to say was that our tour out to the desert meant we had to drive back for hours to return to Marrakech in one day but it’s not like they didn’t warn us….we knew what to expect and we would still do it again.

Breakfast was delicious, quite simple but really good quality. All the staff at the Riad were really friendly, helpful and quiet. The location is fantastic in the heart of the Medina, very close to a square with good restaurants, about a 10 minute walk from the main square but it was nice to leave the bustle of the main square behind and return to our peaceful, clean, cool and calm home from home. Highly recommend for those that like the simple things in life rather than opulent 5 star large hotels.
Staff is excellent, especially kitchen, cafe outside and the ladies that organise the rooms.
Hotel itself is a good 5 star hotel. Rooms are clean, breakfast was nice and tasty and location is fantastic. You can walk to either Gueliz, ExtraBlatt and other lounges and old city. Taxi costs around 50 dh ( I probably paid more than locals, but was happy. Seemed a fair amount)
Amazing property, lot of nice sitting areas. Most importantly, staff here is super amazing. I have never received such hospitality - much better then even 5 star hotels. Massive thanks to entire Anya team - Simo, Mohammed, Khaled, Abdul and all others (sorry I forgot few names) but you all were amazing and our stay was great because of you
simply amazing, staff are so friendly and accommodating, you feel like you are in a 5 stars luxury hotel, but actually this is more than that. I will always stay here every time I am back to Marrakech. Thank you 🙏
This is the third time I have stayed at the hotel, and I will definitely be back. The rooms are huge, the food is good for an all inclusive and the staff are very friendly.
