We could give 10 stars for this amazing stay.
We did not expect much and were completely overwhelmed by both the service and the fabulous accommodation.
We had a very warm welcome with hot towels, ice tea and luggage carrying service.
The rooms are super spacious and absolutely clean (we got an upgrade :), but all rooms looked very nice).
The best we got in Sri Lanka by far! Western Standard with Sri Lankan hospitality! 🙏🏻☺️
Pool was also very nice to take a swim and afterwards you can have a cocktail in the shaded lobby outdoors.
Hotel is located in a very calm area, walking distance to town.
The food served at the restaurant was absolutely delicious at very reasonable prices. Also breakfast was amazing, you can choose between Sri Lankan and Western breakfast.
The hotel manager was always around to ask how we are doing. He and all the staff were extraordinary friendly and helpful.
We cannot understand negative reviews - in that case - these might be FAKE.
We highly recommend staying at Kevans Casa on the way between Sigirya and Ella.
Thank you so much again! 🙏🏻

The location was great, filled with plants and flowers. The host was very nice, he got us a car very early when we left because the area is remote so no ride apps working. Not luxurious but great worth for the money.

Where should I start? From the location to the nice people, everything is just right here! If you want a truly authentic and honest Sri Lanka experience, you have to come here. Viraj is such a good-hearted person who does everything imaginable to make your stay unforgettable. He offers various excursions, from simple hikes to the waterfalls to a village walk to climbing tours to an infinity pool at the top of the waterfalls. And I haven't even started on the accommodation. This was the most authentic stay of our entire trip. We didn't have rice growing season, but I don't even want to think about how beautiful it is there when everything is in bloom! You can also swim in a small stream right next to the accommodation. Viraj also conjures up a wonderful dinner and breakfast. We took ours to the waterfalls. If you want, he will guide you through the village, you can watch the residents at their daily work and try it out for yourself. I could write so many more good things but you should experience it yourself. Thank you Viraj for the unique experience!!! We will stay in touch.

We stayed one night in abimansala resort.
It was really a nice experience.
They’re a really kind family. The food was really good.
The location was beautiful. It’s a nice place to stay. It’s quiet, clean. They gave us some pepper to take back home.
It’s near by a river that you can take a bath. It’s really a nice place to be in immersion with nature. We recommend this place.

Mahiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya, the main temple there is very impressive. preserved well.
Sorabora wewa (lake) is amazing; boat rides and walking around the bunt is simply fantastic. should've stayed the whole day and a night there to see elephants in the evening.
village of the Vaddas (Adhivasi or indigenous people) in Mahiyanganaya are totally worth the trip. it is in Dabana, about 20km north of the Mahiyanganaya town. the museum there was awesome. photography was prohibited and the place was poorly lit, a bummer if you like photography and actually like to read the posters about the natives there. but otherwise it is a great attempt to showcase the history and lifestyle of the Vaddhas. the documented history depicted by the government is a bit obsolete now and proven wrong with evidence by some professors in that domain. so read it w a pinch of salt. still, the life like mannequins are totally awesome. whoever did it is a great artist. it will take you straight to that era. the real Vaddas there, are authentic and natural. you could actually meet the Uruwarigelage Vannila Aththo, the Vadda (aboriginal) chief of Sri Lanka, and can have a chat with him. it was great talking to him face to face. a very humble and learned man. their lifestyle and language is preserved and portrayed fantastically well in that village.
in mahiyangana town, a new 84 foot Buddha statue is coming up and to be opened by end of 2020. it is still covered with scaffolding but still impressive. Gautama Buddha's first visit to Sri Lanka is said to be in Mahiyanganaya.
