Our room - family corner room - was incredible! Super spacious, clean, comfy and a great view. A nice touch is also the complimentary mini bar with drinks and snacks.
Breakfast is a massive feast with some great options. Plus the staff are super warm and friendly.
Very thankful to management for making a late check out possible.

Ceylon Olive is a small, super charming, very well located boutique hotel just a handful of minutes from Galle Port and Unawatuna beach. The rooms are very spacious and cozy, the baths which were built to incorporate nature are a true privilege experience. The delicious breakfast, served on the terrace area outside of the room is also a highlight . Kumudu the owner and host is super kind and attentive. Every minute of our stay was truly special.

Location is 4-5 km away from downtown & right on the main road (easily accessible), which is good to find peace after a day long stroll around the Dutch Fort. Staff is very nice, however need some guidance in managing guests. Indian Hut located right next to hotel provides opportunity to try Indian/ SriLankan cuisine, however be mindful of spices while selecting from the menu (curries especially).

The fort area of Galle is a wonderful place to spend a few days (or more). A perfect mix of chic and shabby with fantastic restaurants and shopping for any budget.
Top restaurant I found was Coconut Sambol, fantastic help yourself tiny restaurant on Church Street with delicious vegetarian (and meat) curries and very affordable price. Try the fresh ginger & Lime juice!
Also great for an hour or two of catching up on emails, browsing or just watching people go by with good coffee was The Cakery. Cheapest latte in Galle!

Beautifully restored and maintained. Heaps of colonial architecture and charm. Everything inside the Fort is easily located. Streets are clean. Cafes and restaurants plentiful with a variety of choices. Great shopping.

The Villa was located in Ahangama, south of Galle and was a perc et location. Great balance of shops, bars, restaurants and beaches and easy access to the trains to get around. We visited Galle and the Dutch Fort which was good and also Weligama, which wasn't so good. Weligama felt down market and the beach wasn't a patch on Kabalana which was the best around. Turtle beach is worth a visit but get there early top avoid the crowds. Safari to Udawalawe National Park is worth the trip.

We loved this small cozy hotel which was really worth the money. The pool was clean and wonderfully framed by vegetation. The monkeys jumped around in the trees and we got wonderful pictures of them. The 5 minute tuktuk ride to Galle fort, a beautiful area with lots of sights, eateries and shopping was free. At the hotel they had an unusual number of breakfast options. Everything from Sri Lankan breakfast to different pancakes and waffles and fresh fruits. The beds were comfortable and the area around the hotel was very quiet!
Deltora Vila was one of our favorite stays in Sri Lanka. The interior is beautiful as well as the pool. The room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was super tasty and you could choose between 3 types of breakfast. Location was not so central,but 5-8 minutes with tuktuk from the hotel to Galle Fort. They aslo provided us with1 free tuktuk drive to Galle Fort per day! Staff was super super friendly and helpfull. We had an amazing time and we would recommend this place to everyone!
Very stylish, tastefully decorated small boutique hotel in a colonial villa. Perfect location: three buildings away from the main street so, no noise, but only a few steps to the very center. Large and comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom. Welcoming hosts and great breakfast. I have also talked to the owner, and he is also a friendly guy, like all Sri Lankan people.
Great location within Galle Fort, has beautiful decor, including a lovely bookshelf.
Side note: I recommend having meals at the Church Street Social restaurant that's really close to the hotel. I enjoyed their Rice & Curry out of all the rice and curries I've had in Sri Lanka.
The location is just at the entrance of Galle Fort, the old city. And there are many Tuk-tuks outside the hotel, so it's convenient to go anyplace you like. And the hotel offer the best Sri Lanka style breakfast. You can basically get any local food you want.
