This stay was a amazing! We loved the location, perfectly in between all the places we wanted to see and not in a loud area. The views from the balcony were amazing and gave us access to some really sweet nature.

Location is great, you can walk onto the beach. Dickwella beach is much nicer than Hiriketiya. The air conditioner worked very well considering it was old. The room had a nice view of the beach and the sea. The fridge was very cold although not very clean. We arrived before check in and were allowed to check in early which was helpful.

I liked the rooms, they seemed how they were portrayed in the pics. The food was good and the staff was very cordial and helpful. They knew how to take care of their guests. We loved our stay here in hiri! We would have stayed longer if we could. First off, the staff were so generous, welcoming and incredibly helpful. They checked in to ensure everything was up to our standards and personally, they went out of their way to help us out when our Tuktuk broke down and did so out of the kindness of their hearts, calling a mechanic friend late at night to help us free of charge.
Second of all, they had the best breakfasts we’ve had in Sri Lanka, fresh smoothies and fruit as well as some traditional Sri Lankan curries. The room was super clean, beautiful and had lots of natural light and after roughing it for a few nights prior, this space felt like such a luxury to stay in!! Highly recommend, we will be back next time.

Our stay at Dickwella Resort and Spa was the highlight of our visit to the south of Sri Lanka. The location, food, staff, and service were above and beyond our expectations. We made the choice of having breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and I would highly recommend anyone else to do the same. The food is some of the best anywhere in Sri Lanka, especially the fish made in various ways. The stay was made extra special by the attentive and friendly staff and they took every effort to provide us with the best service. Big thanks goes out to all the staff in the reception, restaurant, pool, housekeeping, and maintenance. We look forward to our next stay with you.

I would avoid Chrystal Resort Dickwella at all costs. Venture to any other hotels in the region and skip this hotel. Management was completely unsupportive to any of our needs - we showed up after a long flight to find out our rooms were not available at all and were told to go find another hotel.

Beautiful beach right on the shore of the Indian Ocean, which is always warm as five o'clock tea. Big swing, and a bar on the beach... all you need here is time. Time to relax, time to forget the road trip here, to forget that you have to go back to daily chores, etc. Just swim, sun bathe, sip, repeat!

It's a very calm and chilled vibe. Not many beach boys bothering you. The villagers are super friendly. The beach is amazing. There's just something very special about this place. You have to experience it yourself to know.

Dickwella Beach is quite deserted.
Dickwella Beach is quite deserted. There aren't that many places along the beach but made for a nice walk. Hiriketiya Beach however is lovely and there are plenty of places to sit and relax. The restaurants in close proximity to the beach are nice. Especially Hiriketiya Seafood which served the best food we had in Sri Lanka.

I had a lovely stay at Cinnamon House, which is a beautiful homestay just off the main road to Dikwella. Incredibly friendly family who made lots of useful suggestions. The house has a lovely garden which provides a relaxing environment as you're surrounded by nature.
The family was very kind and helpfull. Very clean and modern room with air conditioning. Very good location, you can walk to the Hiriketiya beach and nice restaurants. We also had a Sri lanka breakfast by family. Come and try this beatiful, clean and super nice hotel!
Room was super clean, and had a nice balcony area. Perfect distance between Hiriketiya and Dikwella (which made it a 10 min walk to Cargills). The kitchen was well equipped and saved us lots of money! Host was really friendly, we ended up extending a night.
