Our stay at Dickwella Resort and Spa was the highlight of our visit to the south of Sri Lanka. The location, food, staff, and service were above and beyond our expectations. We made the choice of having breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and I would highly recommend anyone else to do the same. The food is some of the best anywhere in Sri Lanka, especially the fish made in various ways. The stay was made extra special by the attentive and friendly staff and they took every effort to provide us with the best service. Big thanks goes out to all the staff in the reception, restaurant, pool, housekeeping, and maintenance. We look forward to our next stay with you.

I would avoid Chrystal Resort Dickwella at all costs.
I would avoid Chrystal Resort Dickwella at all costs. Venture to any other hotels in the region and skip this hotel. Management was completely unsupportive to any of our needs - we showed up after a long flight to find out our rooms were not available at all and were told to go find another hotel.

Beautiful beach right on the shore of the Indian Ocean, which is always warm as five o'clock tea. Big swing, and a bar on the beach... all you need here is time. Time to relax, time to forget the road trip here, to forget that you have to go back to daily chores, etc. Just swim, sun bathe, sip, repeat!

It's a very calm and chilled vibe. Not many beach boys bothering you. The villagers are super friendly. The beach is amazing. There's just something very special about this place. You have to experience it yourself to know.

Dickwella Beach is quite deserted.
Dickwella Beach is quite deserted. There aren't that many places along the beach but made for a nice walk. Hiriketiya Beach however is lovely and there are plenty of places to sit and relax. The restaurants in close proximity to the beach are nice. Especially Hiriketiya Seafood which served the best food we had in Sri Lanka.

Nice small beach, not a lot of space with the crowds. Good place for beginner surfers but again very crowded. Had the cheapest roti we have found in Sri Lanka so far. A lot of western eateries which isn’t why we went to Sri Lanka so that was a bit disappointing, had to make the trip back into town to find good cheap local food.

The location was great. It was the best beach we were visited in south of Sri Lanka. We liked it much more than for example crowded Hiriketiya beach. We could choose if to swim in nice waves or in a quiet part of beach without big waves. We swam with turtles and meny colourful fish. Nearby there is great restaurant Mahi Mahi with very romantic atmosphere and tasty food. The staff in a hotel was helpful.
The location of the property was perfect for us. Dikwella Beach is lovely and the accommodation was right on the beach, only a short walk to the restaurants and cafes yet at the quieter end. The room itself was a good size and immaculately clean. The shared outdoor areas were nice, particularly the beach cabanas.
We loved our short stay at Sandy’s Villa. The location is amazing, very close to both beaches Dikwella and Hiriketiya (max. 10 minutes walking distance). We only stayed one night but enjoyed the pool and the perfect ocean view very much. We also made use of the laundry service.
The best stay during our holiday in 60 days. Clean and very spacious, and very good value for your money.
Our host, Pramit, made it very comfortabel during our stay, we stayed 6 night and we're missing Dikwella already.
