The location was great in the centre of town. Breakfast was good and probably one of the best we've experienced. We were on the 4th floor with a view of the mountains. The room was large with surfaces to put things on. The swimming pool was good too.

We managed to fill in the 3 days with a walking, climbing hills and exploring some easily accessible caves. Many of the activities are designed for young people so apart from what we did, there is not much else to do. Certainly for older and less mobile people it would not be an easy place to visit.

2 days enough. Having been twice before, it is in a sad state, if it wasn't for the adventure stuff, the town would be no more. So incredibly sad to see the decline. Once a beautiful place, now , dirty, dusty, overflowing with litter and rubbish. The constant burning off has made it a healthy Hazzard, and causing the mountains to be enveloped in haze .

Enjoyed the stay and participation in activities offered in location. Hot air balloon 🎈 and motorised paragliding as recommended and organised for me by hotel management were great. Plenty of choices for food within walking distance.

You really only need two or three days max but it’s stunning scenery and there are a ton of nature/adventure activities to experience. The night market/city itself is not that special but the surroundings are unreal.

Lovely adventure spot nestled among beautiful karst mountains, sinkhole swiming spots and limestone caves. The town itself is nothing remarkable but does have a lot of young traveler energy, which is fun.

The landscape and settings are great.
The landscape and settings are great. You can get there with the new fast train. The Chinese built the train stations and they all are far away from town, not sure why. Vang Vieng is very popular with fun sports very young people including lots of Brits and Aussies. Not the best food I had, try out GOAT for Vietnamese.

The staff were amazing! A big shout out to Kai at the front desk who organized my husbands Swiss Army knife to be sent via courier to our hotel in Luang Prabang so we could catch the fast train (knives are confiscated at the train station)!
The hotel has the BEST food in Laos so eat there for sure!
The best value for money hotel in Vang Vieng. The cleanliness is good.. Above all, the service from the staff is the best. Great swimming pool chill for the day and good rooftop view.
