A small gem in Koh Trong island! The rooms are absolutely beautiful! The view on the bamboos from the window is very relaxing. You can hear the birds chanting. The gardens are very well taken care of given the size of the property!
Definitely recommend this place for couples looking for a some luxury experience on the Mekong.

We came to Kratie to be able to do a tour to see the Irrawaddy dolphins, we booked with sorya kayaking tours and Ben was an amazing guide. Kayaking and managed to see the dolphins was such an incredible experience!!

Unless you want to see the dolphins I wouldn’t bother with Kratie. The town offers nothing but the dolphins for tourists. The markets are only really for locals and the eating options are very limited.

The town has a great market and walking along the riverside...
The town has a great market and walking along the riverside is fun. There is not much action on Grab/PassApp, but everything in town is walkable anyway.
The dolphin boat ride was beautiful and exciting! The locals seem to really care about the dolphins and the boat driver knew exactly where to find them.
I don't usually go on tours but I am glad I went on one in Kratie. There are some neat things around the area that we never have discovered by just looking at the map. I would recommend hiring a local guide to take you.

Lovely city, we stayed there on our way to Sen Monorom and I am pleased we stopped there. We went to see the dolphins and the temple on the hill. We also went to the island with the boat, it was great as there were a lot of people due to a holiday. It's not a big city, so it's easy to get around by foot. People are very friendly.

The room is basic, as depicted by the pictures on booking. The bed itself was comfy and the mosquito net was one of the largest I had during my travels. The owner was really helpful and she not only organized a dolphin watching tour but also a transfer to Don Khone in Laos.
The room was essential but very clean. You have everything you need.
The Guesthouse can provide nice breakfast, lunch and dinner and cocktails at fare prices.
They also provide the only authorised kayaking tour on the Mekong for dolphins watching.
The staff is really nice.
