The Resort was comfortable and appealing.

The Resort was comfortable and appealing. Mbita itself is nothing special. To leave the resort meant 9km of horrendous road, so it was not desired to leave the beautiful resort. We caught the waterbus from Mbita to go to Takawiri Island, but once we reached the island we wished we hadn't left the resort. There is nothing interesting on Takawiri Island. Being at the resort, looking out at placid Lake Victoria- nothing beats that.

    An environmentalist's idea of paradise!

An environmentalist's idea of paradise! Great food, amazing staff and phenomenal gardens with ample opportunities for you to get up close and personal with bird life and to commune with Mother Nature herself.
