Short walk from the ferry drop off point, very friendly front desk staff, restaurant on-site with delicious and nicely presented Japanese breakfast (western option available) and lunch options (eat the seafood!) A friend and I shared a room for one night and it’s quite small like many hotels in Japan, but we were comfortable and all the facilities are very clean. The hotel provides free transport and pick up to the two main beaches.

Very clean and comfortable rooms in a clean modern building with fantastic views. The hotel has lots of good amenities available including a water cooler in the lobby (this shouldn't be rare but somehow seems to be!). Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, but not available at night. The hotel is way outside of the island's small town, so it is very quiet but you are kind of captive without a car or renting a scooter/bike.

I was there for five days (planned for seven days to include five days of diving), and my stay was cut short by the threat of a typhoon. Tokashiki is quiet - you have to make your own activities, which are water-based. We found a couple of exceptional restaurants and a food truck with great vibes. Lots of friendly locals.

The beach here really is one of the best in Japan, maybe one of the best in the world.
Crabs and coral and beautiful seashells everywhere. It's so natural.
Beautiful white sand and blue sea.
Best of all is under the water. Coral gardens, colorful fish, sea turtles

Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands.
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands. There are some great spots for swimming, snorkeling, and diving from the shore, but a boat trip will be required for some of the other spots, particularly the northern portion of the island. The roads are narrow, but it's worth touring around the island on some of the back roads for the various views and wildlife.

The December water was warm enough to swim without wet suits, It was off season with few guests. They still made great buffet meals, and were very helpful. No nearby restaurants were open. I would go again and stay longer.
