The host was very friendly and made very useful recommendations on places to visit and food to try. He also provided a flight of Japanese whiskies to try. There was also a quaint wood burning fireplace that kept us toasty during our stay in Dec. This is a very comfortable and homey place to stay.

V secluded deep in a mysterious forest. The staff were helpful even though we cannot speak Japanese. Especially in the Dining Room where a young staff member was happy to explain how the dinner worked and also some of the unusual items for breakfast. There was no shower in the room but the Public Bath downstairs was fine even though one of the hot tubs (the medium hot one) was not in operation

Takashi was pleasant and helpful during our stay. Beds were comfortable, and we slept well. My son had unfortunately lost his beloved toy after we checked out, I contacted White House to check if it was left in the property. However, they could not find the toy of my son. Takashi was extremely kind to offer to buy him a replacement toy and even took the trouble to deliver to us. We were very thankful for his generosity.
