The bed was very comfortable, and the AC actually gets cold and circulates around the room well. I was fortunate enough to have a view of the mountains from my room as well. The hotel is right next to one of the street car stops, minutes walk from the fortress, and there are many cafes/bars/resturants in the immediate vicinity. The staff was friendly and there is a Family Mart attached to the hotel.
Just a 3-minute walk from the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses and bay area, La Vista Hakodate features natural hot-spring baths and a healing spa. The art deco rooms are inspired by the Taisho period.

The rooms were pretty spacious, the onsen was also very nice and Goryokaku was basically around the corner so great location. We did not need our room to be cleaned because we only stayed for two nights, so we recieved drink vouchers at the reception as a thank you! All in all that was great.
