The hotel is about 5 minutes away from the station so getting there was a breeze. Check-in and check-out were painlessly simple. The staff were so extremely friendly, even though I spoke almost 0 Japanese. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked and satisfying.
I've read complaints about the room size and honestly as a solo traveller of 180cm, it was not an issue. The room was super comfortable and the washroom was adequate. Honestly the perfect place if you're planning to stay in and explore Kobe.

This visit of ours to Kobe had not been the first one.
This visit of ours to Kobe had not been the first one. This trip gave us the opportunity to admire all the astonishing progress made in this city all these years, especially after the earthquake. Based in Kobe we travelled around (Osaka, Kyoto, Himeji, Roko mountain, Awaji island) ,using the unbelievably comfortable trains and buses. Food was exceptionally tasteful everywhere and by no means expensive

Kobe is very modern.
Kobe is very modern. If artistic and moderne highrise buildings are your thing, Kobe will definitely hit the spot.
If you're more interested in historical Japan, Kobe is a good base. It's pretty close to Kyoto and Nara and on the other side Himeji and Hiroshima. Kobe itself also has the Nunobiki herbgarden and ropeway where you get a very nice view of Kobe and harbour. And, ofcourse, some Kobe beef burgers...

Kobe castle worth a visit, must have Kobe beef while you’re here. Recommend Steakland restaurant, they have a couple of locations in Kobe. Don’t expect to be relaxing for a long evening meal, like every restaurant food is served fast but great tasting steak. We tried Kobe and Wagu to see the difference.

This is the third time I have been to Kobe.
This is the third time I have been to Kobe. The first time before the earthquake, second time just after the earth quake and now many years later with my family. The city has changed a lot. I would recommend a day in Kobe to see the temple, the park at the port and the Maritime Museum - the maritime bit is OK but the best bit is the Kawasaki bit which is not advertised outside but has motobikes, planes, helicopters, bullet trains, simulators, etc.. Don't miss the herb gardens, You travel up on a cable car and then walk down through the gardens and an amazing glass house with stunning views over Kobe. If you do not want to overnight in Kobe (but why not stay and sample the Kobe beef!) you can easily visit from Osaka or Kyoto by train in about 30 mins.

A fun place to travel to.
A fun place to travel to. It isn't like Tokyo where a lot of major places close at 10. Many major shopping areas and attractions close around 5-7PM and the only thing open after that are the main grocery stores and restaurants.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel but all too short as just for one night. But so loved the seventh floor room and private Onsen. Seeing the hillside while relaxing in the tub was divine. Also both meals, Japanese style, were wonderful. Compliments to the chef. Our server was also wonderfully attentive and patient with us as our Japanese is very limited and was so grateful for her assistance in English. Would definitely stay there again.
Thanks so
Much.

The Hotel is well located, near the subway station and the Kobe downtown. The room was large, with a nice view of the mountains, very cozy and clean. The staff was very cordial and friendly! The breakfeast has a lot of options. I dont speak japanese, but this wasn't a problem here. Defenitely I could stay here again.
As it is a new hotel the facilities are still new. The dining are is large and spacious, so is the lobby with plenty of seating. The rooms were bigger compared with other Japanese hotels.
The location is convenient outside of downtown Kobe and very close to the station.
The room size is large for Japan. They give away various amenities at the reception.
