I solo travelled to Ogijima and stayed 1 night at this place. The house is super clean and very large for 1~2 people. The place has every facilities you’ll need, the bed is really comfortable, and the bathroom is also nicely equipped. Ocean view from the balcony is great as well.
Apparently the owner took great care of this place. He greeted me upon arrival and introduced me to the house nicely.
The island itself is super quiet during the night. You can enjoy the serenity after most of the tourists took the ferry back in the afternoon. I enjoyed walking along the narrow streets and playing with the cats. The vibe is magical and healing and the one night stay on the island is definitely worth it.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel and had a great experience. It accommodated our family of three nicely. Our son slept on the sofa that was make shifted into a bed. Had a great view of the bay. The room was clean and modern and had a great view of the islands and water. In the evening we would walk up to the deck above behind the hotel to watch the sunset. This was a perfect way to end the day with 7-11 goods and drinks. Sunsets were spectacular.
Rooms had a pretty spacious closet (a set of drawers to stash clothes in it would be perfect) We didn't have the chance to have breakfast here as we were on the go most days. We also didn't get the chance to have dinner here and opted out. They have a limited menu and you get to choose from 3 dishes and your table has to order the same dish. I personally like more options so we went to their sister restaurant a couple times and it was really good. (to note: make a reso and get there early, they run out of dishes on the specials board)
This is our second time to the islands. They are so beautiful. I recommend renting a bike and checking the times for places being open or closed. There is a day during the week most museums are closed. This will help with your planning and making the most of your time.
