Felt very fancy after a trip of smaller private stays and rooms. Plenty of space with the beds, comfy and had a large bathroom. Staff were excellent and check-in was easy. There is an onsite restaurant but there was a private function the night we were there and the breakfast buffet was not very large. Not an issue for us though as there were three convenience stores nearby (3min walk) where we got dinner and breakfast. Very close to the train station and the staff held our bags from check out to 6pm as we had a late flight.
We were lucky enough to be on the top floor and the view was amazing over the city and only 2 short stops to the airport the next day. Certain floors also had bag scales so you can check your luggage weight prior to leaving for the airport in case repacking is needed.

We didn’t like the location at all, on the internet it says the first train to airport starts at 4:30 that’s why I booked this location but we turned out having to book a taxi ride which was 5500 yen just 6k to the airport 🥲

This is a quiet town just off Kansai.
This is a quiet town just off Kansai. We stayed here a few days before, and a few days after Okinawa. Malls and restaurants are very close, but the overall city is not as busy as Osaka metro, making it a more peaceful stop along the way.

We had a comfortable stay, and the room was very clean. We appreciated the buffet breakfast and access to the onsen. My daughter especially loved the manga book wall in the quiet space next to the cafe and onsen.
Clearer instructions for English speakers on the type of booking, eg. whether we got a Netflix password from the hotel, whether we had access to the robes, etiquette for first-time onsen users, would have been great, etc.
The hotel was a short walk to the Rinku Town train station, which was very handy.

Perfect for a last day before your flight back home.
Perfect for a last day before your flight back home. Big designer outlet and smaller ‘mall: with eateries and more everyday shops. All sited next to a beautiful, pebbly beach. Very relaxing last day in Japan. Very easy to get to by train.

Loved the area.
Loved the area. I would say is a little on the outskirts side of Osaka, however Rinku is just 1 train stop away and you still can walk around and soak in the beautiful and calming atmosphere of the authentic Japan neighbourhood!
Food options I would say are a little limited, but then again, I do not think you should visit Izumi-Sano for the food, but for the environment and accommodation! Having a car would be very convenient too, as you can drive up to the city where Umeda and Dotonbori are located!
Overall, Izumisano is a great place to stay and view in Japan!

I only stayed one night as it was close to the airport.
I only stayed one night as it was close to the airport.
I ventured out on arrival and found Izumi-Sano had more to offer than I imagined.
There was a very large outlet shopping centre which o would have enjoyed more time exploring but was tired after the days journey.
I would have also liked to have taken a walk to the sea. Next time I will definitely stay at least a couple of days.

The room was small, but it was very comfortable, well appointed (coffee, pillows, toiletries, bidet, great water pressure, quiet, close to everything, steps away from Izumisano Station, great restaurants....I honestly can't say enough about R Hotel Kansai Airport. The staff was super friendly and the price was unthinkably low.
We requested them to receive an item via courier that we had left in an earlier hotel and they were so helpful about it. Was expecting a third twin bed western style but given a Tatami room although it was ok as we get to have a taste of Japanese culture
Location was good as we stayed there to get to the airport fast. The storage place for bags were large and secured. The hotel provided a weighing scale for us to weigh in our bags, which was very useful.
Very good experience. The hotel is really close to the terminal, and it offers a comfortable solution for early flights.
