Best Western Hotel Fiera Verona, hotel in Verona

Hotel Fiera is near Verona’s Congress Center, a short bus ride into town, and just 3 stops to Porta Nuova Railway Station. Here you will find a choice of rooms and free parking. WiFi is free.

Having an SUV, I wanted to avoid driving in the Verona city center. The BW was a find. We got two rooms with breakfast for the family. We had free parking. There was a bus stop across the street that took us into town. We walked to a wonderful dinner from the hotel. There are several nearby options. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast exceeded expectations. There was a delightful selection of pastries, fruit, jams, a tub of nuttella with a pump that made me fall in love again! There were also a few hot items. The wonderful staff helped us with the fancy Nespresso machine. It was great. It was also cool to take a short drive to their local Eataly. One more time I'll mention that the staff was friendly and helpful. Wonderful stay.

FAQs about hotels in Verona

A Shakespearean Fairytale

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalized in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.

Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.

Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheater which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theater whose remains are partly beneath a house.

The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which have cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laid back and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.

Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.

We had two full days and a half day in Verona and enjoyed seeing all of the sites that Verona has to offer. The weather was cold but sunny and being in January the streets were not busy. We particularly enjoyed walking eveywhere which is easy in Verona due to the lack of cars. We loved the feniculore and sunset from near the Castel San Pietro. The GIardino Giusti after and early morning visit to the Arena was sensational. Don't miss the view from the tower on Piazza Delle Erbe. To eat: Locandina Capella for a special dinner. Berbere Pizza and the pasticceria de Rossi both of Piazza Delle Erbe had delicious food.

    Lovely city - 1 day/ 1 night enough.

Lovely city - 1 day/ 1 night enough. There is a beautiful theatre, with some great events-much easier to get tickets than in Milan or Venice, and lovely Christmas markets. Nice to meander - relaxing add-on as on train route between Venice and Milan Winter chilly so wrap up- scarf, hat and gloves definitely needed but no crowds so easy, quick access to everything- no queues! Worth going on fornicular train for amazing view Museum has partial lift access only to some areas (not to parapets). Definitely worth a short visit. Charming town.

Verona centre is quite small so in Winter 2 days is adequate to see the main sights. Note that a lot of the museums are closed on Mondays so if you purchase the Verona Card (which we did), try to ensure you visit the main sights on another day. Restaurants are plentiful but just refer to TripAdvisor for reviews as some are touristy but not necessarily good value. Shops are largely designer and for souvenir hunters. We had two very good meals close to our appartment (La Piazetta Osteria Enoteca). Book ahead as gets busy. Foccacias by Ponte Pietra for a cheap snack before a ride on the Funicular or visit to the Teatro is recommended. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking and steps. Very enjoyable for family with older children or couples.

Verona is a charming city with so much to offer!

Verona is a charming city with so much to offer! My favorite spot was Piazza delle Erbe, surrounded by history and great cafés. I loved dining at Trattoria al Pompiere, where the risotto was unforgettable. Getting around was a breeze—most places are walkable, and buses are convenient. For solo travelers, visiting Castel San Pietro for stunning panoramic views is a must!

This is a great choice for people who would like to see Verona, but prefer staying overnight on the outskirts of the city. The Euromotel is around 15-20 minutes by bus till the city centre and has it's own parking. Close to the hotel is a supermarket and bus stop. The bus tickets you can buy at reception as well. The breakfast is very good, though I didn't like the coffee, it might be more delicious (you're in Italy). :)
