The host Andrea welcomed us, providing us with invaluable information regarding Tivoli’s attractions and how best to access them. We chose to use a recommended taxi service (Signore Rienzi) for the Villa Adriano and the Sanctuary of Hercules the Victor, but we walked the 1 KM to the Villa d’Este. The guest house is immaculate and well-appointed and quiet; our room faced toward Rome. There’s a beautiful terrace with panoramic views overlooking olive orchards. The breakfast was continental with other items as well. Everything was fresh and delicious, and our morning hostess was a delightful conversationalist, too.
Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, B&B Il Giardino offers accommodations in Tivoli, 1969 feet from Villa d'Este. The rooms are fitted with a flat screen TV.

The entire staff (Giovanni, Marco, and Elisa) were amazingly helpful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. For example, they were able to reserve a table for us at the top restaurant nearby, had a great parking service, and provided an umbrella during an unexpected downpour.
It is hard to put into words how beautiful the palace and room were. It was the highlight of our trip! We stayed in the suite with a huge entryway, with high frescoed ceilings. Beautiful paintings and decor throughout. The bedroom itself had an upstairs loft with a comfy lounge chair. The private pool/spa was fantastic. Breakfast the next day was a feast for royalty. Very highly recommended. Walking distance to the Villa d'Este and about a 10-15-minute drive from Villa Adriana.
Offering city views, Regina Bed and Breakfast in Tivoli offers accommodations and a terrace.

Filippo is a very nice host. Readily available and happy to engage and provide insight into the town and area, including best ways to get places. Really liked the breakfasts at the local cafes.
Well worth the visit. I stayed there to see Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este. Both were great, but Adriana in particular. I also liked the feel of Tivoli; despite having fairly famous visitor attractions (there is also Villa Gregoriana, although I did not explore that), it has a very "local" vibe.

Words cannot explain how much we loved Tivoli!
Words cannot explain how much we loved Tivoli!
We were voyeurs in this gorgeous town; authentic Italy! We woke in the morning and sat in a piazza, eating the most delicious croissant and sipping a cappuccino as we watched the simple, beautiful life the locals enjoy. I would recommend this city to everyone! We only stayed one night and I wished we were there for three!
Please, please, visit Tivoli! So much to see and such unique and wonderful diversion to Roma!

Great access to town and countryside.
Great access to town and countryside. Tivoli has lots of character and amazing views, plenty of places to eat and shop, and to immerse yourself in true Italian culture.
I'd recommend the Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana (Hadrian's Villa), both of which can be done in one day, although allow more time for the latter, and bring a packed lunch as there are no catering facilities.

Tivoli is a great town outside of Rome.
Tivoli is a great town outside of Rome. If you are looking for old character, charm, and beautiful gardens, you have found your spot. Food was great at all locations. I would recommend spending a lot of time Villa di Este.

The park of Villa Gregoriana has stunning views of the waterfalls and is a must natural attraction when visiting Tivoli.
Villa D'Este is a magnificent example of the Italia Villas of the Renaissance, with its beautiful gardens and many fountains.
These two locations and the overall historical city area are easily reachable all within walking distance. The historic downtown also offer many eating alternatives.
Villa Adriana is one of the most majestic archeological sites of the Roman Empire, truly impressive in its scale and content.
Plan for a three nights stay in order to have two full days to visit the city.

Wonderful area to explore and use as a base to visit Rome.
Wonderful area to explore and use as a base to visit Rome. Fly into Ciampino. Public transport and parking is good. Prepare to walk up hill on occasions in town. Villa d'este well worth a visit BUT beware of payment on entry. (See Tip) Driving can be either exciting or challenging. Make sure if you go on the toll roads you understand how they work and how to pay. Local food is really reasonably priced if you choose well. "Botega del Grano" is an excellent choice in Tivoli.

What a fabulous country hotel, with a large on-site restaurant well-used by locals. We stayed on two different days and there were weddings and family parties taking place which gave it a great atmosphere without detracting from or disturbing our stay. Marco was very attentive and helped us, and Viviana served a great breakfast.
The surroundings are magical and we would certainly return.
Great cozy place in the old town of Tivoli and really clean.
Chiara helped us with all the details and even provided some recommendations for great restaurants in Tivoli.
Parking are available near, make sure you discuss with Chiara before arriving
Best Wi-fi in Italy after 2 weeks travel :D
The hotel is located on a congested street in a hodge-podge of a town, but there's free parking available, which is a plus. The breakfast was decent, as was the wifi.
