The rooms were modern and clean, and the breakfast was fantastic. We were jet-lagged from just landing the day of our stay, and the staff were kind and accommodating throughout the experience, including giving us an extra few minutes to finish our breakfast past the ending time. Very pleased with our choice to stay here!

We chose the accommodation according to the presentation and references on booking.com. We were looking for accommodation outside the centre, in the countryside and quiet. Everything we were looking for was fulfilled: beautiful place, quiet, friendly hosts (including Bianca 👍😁).
Boasting pool views, A CASA DI SARA offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 30 km from Porta Maggiore.

Location amazing, the best covered terrace the highlight and accommodating owner.
Words cannot explain how much we loved Tivoli!
We were voyeurs in this gorgeous town; authentic Italy! We woke in the morning and sat in a piazza, eating the most delicious croissant and sipping a cappuccino as we watched the simple, beautiful life the locals enjoy. I would recommend this city to everyone! We only stayed one night and I wished we were there for three!
Please, please, visit Tivoli! So much to see and such unique and wonderful diversion to Roma!

Great access to town and countryside.
Great access to town and countryside. Tivoli has lots of character and amazing views, plenty of places to eat and shop, and to immerse yourself in true Italian culture.
I'd recommend the Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana (Hadrian's Villa), both of which can be done in one day, although allow more time for the latter, and bring a packed lunch as there are no catering facilities.

The park of Villa Gregoriana has stunning views of the waterfalls and is a must natural attraction when visiting Tivoli.
Villa D'Este is a magnificent example of the Italia Villas of the Renaissance, with its beautiful gardens and many fountains.
These two locations and the overall historical city area are easily reachable all within walking distance. The historic downtown also offer many eating alternatives.
Villa Adriana is one of the most majestic archeological sites of the Roman Empire, truly impressive in its scale and content.
Plan for a three nights stay in order to have two full days to visit the city.

Wonderful area to explore and use as a base to visit Rome.
Wonderful area to explore and use as a base to visit Rome. Fly into Ciampino. Public transport and parking is good. Prepare to walk up hill on occasions in town. Villa d'este well worth a visit BUT beware of payment on entry. (See Tip) Driving can be either exciting or challenging. Make sure if you go on the toll roads you understand how they work and how to pay. Local food is really reasonably priced if you choose well. "Botega del Grano" is an excellent choice in Tivoli.

Tivoli is a great location especially if you have previously visited Rome. It is much cheaper than Rome for food and drink and the quality of food is very good. For example we visited a restaurant in Rome for lunch - a restaurant we had previously visited - cost for lunchtime pasta for four with four beers and two Aperol Spritz 107 Euro's. Night time meal in Tivoli at a restaurant specializing in food from Tuscany for starters, meat main courses, six beers and 4 Aperol Spritz cost 117 Euro's.
Tivoli offers easy access to Rome via Train. To be honest having visited Rome before was disappointed with how expensive it has become, entry to alot of the venue's had massively increased in price and hour long queues. Also found the city very dirty.
The Palazzo Papa Gregorio is a Little jewel Hidden in the streets of Tivoli. Open the door of the Palazzo, get a sight of the astonishing fountain in front of you, After a few stairs, Sara will welcome you with her beautiful warmth and take you to a unique, simple and Very élégant room. The high ceilings, the wooden fourniture and the Colors give you a glimpse of Italian esthetics.
The bathroom and its bathtub Add an extra spark to your stay.
The palazzo is a perfect place for a resting and relaxing night while appreciating Italian taste
The history of Tivoli is echoed in the room and the age of the buildings, tidy cobbled streets and a sense of safety. Easy to get to restaurants and the sights of Tivoli (once you've found the way around all the piazzas 😀. Peaceful nights' sleep
Stylish conversion of an old palazzo in Tivoli. Well located in the centre of town (you need to park out of the historic centre). Good breakfast in the top of the building with panoramic views. Manager very welcoming and helpful.
