Monfalcone is not the most touristic place to be. we were there for a regatta so we visited, the sailclub/marina! we visited Slovenia (the caves) visited Trieste, Udine, Grado,... Monfalcone was fine, and a good place to start these visits. I like the authenticity and it not being touristic,

I arrived very early, they let me have a room several hours early. I couldn’t work out room numbering system and was shown to my room, the same member of staff remembered me from hours earlier and took me again.
On check out the staff were friendly.

This is the second time we have stayed here in four years. The hotel is still just as good! The staff and housekeeping are of a high standard. For breakfast serve meat, cheese, eggs, bread, yoghurt, muesli, croissants, fruit and drinks. There is an excellent beach 5 minutes away. There are cafes nearby where you can have dinner.
We arrived very late after a late flight and were able to check in quickly and painlessly - the hotel is a short bus ride from Trieste airport. The room was quite and cool (summer with air-con) and we had a good night's sleep. We liked the neighbourhood and the town of Monfalcone.
