The hotel is about twenty minutes walk from Meta station, and there's a frequent bus service. It's in a great location right on the beach, where the swimming is good, and has also a large terrace with swimming pool. We had a large comfortable room with a balcony giving a fabulous view over the Bay of Naples, and of sunset over island of Ischia.
I was impressed by the courtesy, professionalism and very good level of spoken English of all the staff I came across, and the characterful internal decor of the public areas - the hotel feels like it's had a recent make-over. There are other restaurants and lidos within a short walk.
Breakfast was excellent - anything you could want was on offer.

Meta is lovely.
Meta is lovely. I would use it more as a base though and tour around. Like Pompeii or Rome which was a short trip. It’s pretty quiet, not much around for a grocery store but the people were some of the loveliest we met throughout our tour through Italy.
Bus is decent, hard to get a taxi. Train service excellent.
You must try Le Conca restaurant in Meta - we went every day, is what THAT good!

Wifi was spotty throughout, but we were having severe rainstorm while here which impacted where we could go. Sorrento was flooded.

We only had a couple of days and we arrived in the middle of...
We only had a couple of days and we arrived in the middle of heavy rain quite late. We spent the following staying close to the beach and had lunch at TicoTico (suggested by our host) which was excellent! Meta is a quieter place to stay than Sorrento but we found it easy to get there by bus.

Basically, the beaches were crowded, plus there were nothing to see during snorkeling.
So we usually travelled to other places. Unfortunately the public bus transport is pretty bad. No timetable, what google map finds is either out of date or simply not as it expected. We had never known if a scheduled 1-2 bus is coming or not. Total stochastic, and it is pretty bad in the evening.
The place itself is nice, but that's all.

It is a small, residential place. It is away from any busy parts of the area. It is a great place to go if you want peace and quiet, but access to activities and a few grocery shops. There is good access to a beach.

Perfect place if you like to get a more 'local' vibe rather than visiting the tourist areas. Super close to Sorrento by car and the surrounding towns were close too - no longer than 40 mins drive.
The beach was 5 min walk, along with restaurants, bars and cafes which was great.
Hire small cars to get your way around as big cars probably will end up getting scratched.

It is a good location to go to several places, but most of them not walking distance (unless you are living more central in Meta).
You should be an experienced driver to be able to drive in Napoles area, including Meta and Meta neighbourhoods. People have a special way of driving and the roads can be extremely narrow and with a lot of curves.

This hotel was honestly amazing - it completed exceeded my expectations. Enzo was a fantastic host and made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. The decor of the place is just out of this world and the breakfast was delicious. The attention to detail is amazing it has to be hands-down one of the best places I have ever stayed in. Our only disappointment is that we didn’t find this place sooner and stay here longer than one night. Thank you so much again Enzo and Rosio.
Close to Meta train station, bus stop just across the street. Rooms were clean, spacious and so was the bathroom. Staff was fun and helpful. Breakfast was good, and was served to the room when it was raining, because normally it is served on the rooftop terrace.
Definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful stay in Meta to see Sorrento and Amalfi .We had a very comfortable stay close to all the public transport and restaurants and all amenities.The host was excellent who was very friendly and helpful for all queries.We had a wonderful stay
One of our favourite parts of Italy was our stay in Casa Nannina, the hosts were so amazing, friendly and so helpful. Breakfast was amazing, rooms were clean and private. if we ever return to Meta, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
The hotel was very clean, the staff were all very welcoming and so nice and helpful. The location is amazing, right on the beach. Would definitely come back here again and highly recommend hotel giosue a mare.
