Our stay was amazing! The property is really close to the beach and has a beautiful view. The balcony and the terrace are a huge bonus. It was also nice having a kitchen and cooking utensils. Only about a 10 minute walk to the train station to get to Palermo which was convenient. Overall a really cute property that exceeded our expectations. The host was very helpful with helping us get into the property and even took us to train station the day of check-out because it was raining. We had a wonderful experience.

Fully equipped chalet, it had everything needed for a long stay.
Very close to the sea, secure territory. Some snacks and coffee was a pleasant bonus, along with jacuzzi

This is a stunning apartment! The interior is beautifully decorated, everything is modern, and it is very spacious. The bed is extremely comfortable with high quality duvet and linens. The AC also functions as a heater where you can set the temperature, so no problems staying there in winter as we did. As if that wasn't enough, there is the view! The apartment is not only beautiful on the inside, but has a spectacular view of the sea from all the windows and the huge wraparound balcony. The owner, Francesco is extremely kind and helpful. He accommodated our last-minute booking and placed an extra bed in the apartment for our friend who joined us.
The village of Isola delle Femmine itself is very charming. There is food available til late, from street food to seafood restaraunts, and an incredible pasticceria just around the corner, as well as a lovely church with an enthusiastic bell tower (they don't disturb you inside the apartment though, it is very quiet). There is also a small supermarket right there. The train station is less than 10 minutes walk and had trains going both to Palermo and to the airport. The apartment is a few steps from the shore and a small active fishing harbour. If you're there in the morning, you can meet the friendly fishermen, and one of the mornings we stayed, it looked like people were buying fish right off the boats from them. I'm so glad we decided to stay here instead of in Palermo!

Very cute town, very peaceful and nice :) We recommend restaurant Godiva and Vitaly :) The best! :) and we dont recommend the expensive one on the main square - Isole Pesce or something like that, the service was horrible, took forever and they broke something every few minutes, also the food didnt have much taste at all, for that price it was bad :) For around the same price you get an amazing food in Godiva and a very good trained service :)

Isola is a beautiful little town.
Isola is a beautiful little town. The narrow streets are very charming and lovely. Compared to Palermo and Catania, there were much less tourists (we were here in spring) and it was clean, so it was much more cozy and relaxing. The food in the restaurants were delicious and the rocky beach was fabulous. The mountain range behind the town makes an amazing sight from everywhere in the town. There is a fish market every morning in the harbour, well worth a visit, you can see some very interesting sea creatures.

The train station has regular trains.
The range of beaches and their facilities are very good.

I think that this community is a bit undiscovered at the moment... it is close to the airport, close to Palermo and has everything that you might need. I did not encounter any homeless, panhandlers, hustlers or unsavory residents. Your folks at businesses here may not speak English as much as those in the larger cities like Palermo.

Since it was a big apartment, it had everything we needed: kitchen tools, clean oven and fridge, as well as the toaster. Even if at first there was not the dish soap, the kind host brought it to us the next day. The bathroom was equipped with hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo. It is 2 minutes away on foot from the train station (Isola delle femmine) through which you can reach the city centre, and it is near to the principal square of the small town too.
Patrizia, the host, was wonderful. She went out of her way to make sure I had a safe and affordable way to get to the airport for an early morning flight. I was very grateful. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and a three minute walk from Isola Delle Femmine train station.
The food was really good and loads to choose from. The staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and looked great. The pools were clean and the private beach was amazing.
