It was amazing! They came to check us in and were super friendly. The place was perfect and had air conditioning - essential with the weather in Capaci! We were on the upper room with a small balcony. Always available on WhatsApp in case we needed anything, and even brought us fresh towels halfway through the stay! The shared kitchen is perfect and updated, and the outside eating areas are very pleasant on warm days.

La Dependance delle Mimose, hotel in Isola delle Femmine

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, La Dependance delle Mimose is situated in Isola delle Femmine.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Maria and Lorenzo for our wonderful vacation. Thanks to their hospitality, care and tact, we had a great time in this lovely place. The house is not very big, but creates a Mediterranean mood: a room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a small patio in front of the entrance. It's all very cozy, clean and authentic. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking: gas stove, refrigerator, kettle, coffee maker, frying pan, pots, plates, cups. Lorenzo and Maria also left us a various welcome set: water, bread, milk, tea, coffee, buns and other little things. There is a bathroom, but the shower is in the kitchen and it is really quite small. Wifi worked well, there were no problems. Bed linen and towels are provided. You can also take sun loungers and a beach umbrella. You can cycle around the area; there are 2 simple bicycles you can use. The nearest beach is about 300 meters: fine sand, clear sea, beauty :) Lorenzo and Maria also provided us with transfers to and from the airport, which was very convenient. Maria, Lorenzo, it was very nice to meet you! Best wishes to you.

Very cute town, very peaceful and nice :) We recommend restaurant Godiva and Vitaly :) The best! :) and we dont recommend the expensive one on the main square - Isole Pesce or something like that, the service was horrible, took forever and they broke something every few minutes, also the food didnt have much taste at all, for that price it was bad :) For around the same price you get an amazing food in Godiva and a very good trained service :)

Isola is a beautiful little town.

Isola is a beautiful little town. The narrow streets are very charming and lovely. Compared to Palermo and Catania, there were much less tourists (we were here in spring) and it was clean, so it was much more cozy and relaxing. The food in the restaurants were delicious and the rocky beach was fabulous. The mountain range behind the town makes an amazing sight from everywhere in the town. There is a fish market every morning in the harbour, well worth a visit, you can see some very interesting sea creatures.

A really welcoming and friendly town, well served with local cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. It also has a good local market every Thursday. The train station has regular trains. The range of beaches and their facilities are very good.

I think that this community is a bit undiscovered at the moment... it is close to the airport, close to Palermo and has everything that you might need. I did not encounter any homeless, panhandlers, hustlers or unsavory residents. Your folks at businesses here may not speak English as much as those in the larger cities like Palermo.
