A little bit remote, most of the time quiet unless there is a train passing on the railway line nearby. Fortunately not so often. The rooms are rustic but cozy and very clean. The bed is so comfy. The best I had in days. Firm mattress and proper pillows. The shower is equipped with all kinds of gadgets.

Gorizia ia a wonderful city to wander through on foot. The older part of downtown is well kept. The downtown area offers plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy. I think it is good for about two or three leisurely days. There are a few sites to visit and Slovenia is close by. We ate at Peperino(excellent food and an attentive staff) and La Chincaglieria(sp?)(food and wine were really good, the atmosphere was lively, the staff was friendly). Overall, I would visit again.

Gorizia is an undiscovered gem.
Gorizia is an undiscovered gem. It has history, shopping, restaurants and a great location adjacent to the Collio Goriziano wine region, with numerous producers of excellent wines. Mountains, forests, beach resorts and the Adriatic Sea are all within a short drive. Slovenia is right next door.

We stayed at Casa Villa for one night as a stop-over for a long trip in July 2022.
Gianfranco and Annamaria are wonderful hosts: friendly, welcoming and helpful. We arrived after a long drive and they welcomed us with some appreciated refreshments.
The suite was large, comfortable, well-furnished and quiet. It has all the necessary amenities one needs.
The location is just a few minutes' drive from Gorizia in the countryside, so the air is fresh and clean.
Highly recommended to anyone visiting this little jewel of a city.
The stay was extraordinary and exceeded our expectations. The hotel is representing typical italian style with warm colors nice details, an airconditioned spacy room with perfect room service and daily change of towels and refill of cosmetic products.
The breakfast was rich with all you are looking for, including eggs, sausage, cheese, several styles of croissant and great italian coffee for a good start to the day.
We´ll come again soon!
Comfortable apartment in the heart of Gorizia with nice hosts. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics, including coffee, tea and olive oil, while hotel-quality toiletries, towels and sheets are provided in the bathroom and bedroom. The communication was prompt and the hosts were very accommodating. Would very much recommend to single travelers and couples.
