We ate breakfast as recommended by Franca across the street named PROFILI CAFE. Very clean and cozy place with very friendly owner who served us with delicious sweet breads, croissants, coffee and tea. Price was very reasonable too.
We also appreciated Franca who was very friendly and accommodating.

People were extremely helpful, Rome is to busy crowded unfortunately I didn’t find the street by Vatican to clean. Besides everyone from the police stated be careful a lot of pickpockets. Purchasing the ticket at the train station the machine states beware of pickpockets. I was happy to get back to Civitavecchia.

Far more interesting than the guide books let on.
Far more interesting than the guide books let on. Found the people and neighborhood very charming and the feel was just right - Way better than the noise and clutter of Rome. Clean, nice local feel.

I loved the buzz down at the beach.
I loved the buzz down at the beach. Walking through and finding your way through the narrow streets was great, but be careful of the ‘land mines’…many locals walking their dogs do not really care where the dogs do their thing.

Even though I pre booked my hotel transfers they left me at the airport for an hour, and made me 1/2 hour late to my crusie. Both while they accomodated another party right in front of me. I literally sat at their tables and watched them take pictures of each other and the hotel sign.

Small port town - unstopping transfers from and to ships.
Small port town - unstopping transfers from and to ships. Nice center with lot of shops and restaurants. Taxi services are super expensive and it is not easy to find available ones. We met super nice people, who tried to help. Only one time we had to deal with aggressive, rude and stressful cheater/liar - apartment owner Michele Panetta (Guest house garden Civitavecchia / Appartamento con giardino & Perlage suite) - never trust good reviews and advertisement about these places as all are fake. If you will not meet him you will enjoy your stay for few days in this town.

We stayed two nights in Civitavecchia.
We stayed two nights in Civitavecchia. We arrived by train and walked to our hotel. The beach us beautiful, the city is filled with tourists. The locals are nice. There are plenty of restaurants and many delicious cafes and gelato places. Getting around is easy, we ate at a variety of restaurants all were delicious.
My husband and I were on a cruise leaving in 2 days. The location is a 10-minute walk after you take a shuttle from the cruise terminal to the short ride into town. (do not take a taxi-it is very expensive) When you are leaving the cruise ship, ask where the local shuttle is available. The hotel itself was adorable. We walked down a long promenade filled with palm trees and beautiful flowers. B and B are like Airbnb. The owners will send you a code to get in. It is a bit tricky. Once you get it down, it will be rather simple.
This hotel was close to the cruise port and provided a shuttle service to the ship for 10 euros each. Well worth the money for the convenience. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. The price was very reasonable compared to what we would find in Rome.
Great location, very clean and spacious rooms, also very quiet. Anna was a great host and very helpful. The best 2 star hotel I have stayed at. Breakfast was also excellent. would definitely stay here again.
The location of this hotel is good. It is very close to the train station were you can get a shuttle bus to the port. There is a supermarket within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel was clean.
