Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, tasty food.
Hotel de La Ville is 200 metres from Civitavecchia Station, right next to the port for ferry departures to Sicily, Sardinia, and beyond. It offers free parking and air-conditioned rooms.

I stayed in a suite, the room was the best appointed room that I have ever stayed in.
I would stay there again without hesitation.
Hotel Traghetto is a comfortable establishment located near the harbour entrance and also conveniently close to the city centre (300 metres), to the business and industrial areas of Civitavecchia

Perfect location, friendly reception & staff who do more than its expected if yoz need help , a big thanks goes to them ! Highly Recommend !
Best access for cruise departures. Staying in Rome makes one vulnerable to train strikes (which occured after I purchased our tickets at the airport to depart immediately for Civitavvechia). Other passengers talked of the chaos of exiting their Rome hotel during a marathon.

We went there a day before our cruise date and had less than a day to explore and wished we could have stayed longer ( next time, we will). The city has a lot to offer, scenery, restaurants and cultural places.

Instead of staying in Rome prior to our cruise, for this trip we opted to stay the night in Civitavecchia. We enjoyed the ambience of the walkways on the bulkhead, with a plethora of excellent restaurants and views along the waterfront. Our dinner was wonderful, and we enjoyed our brief stay prior to our cruise.

We were there for only one night before a cruise. We met up with our friends at the Black Lodge, which is an Irish Pub. Dinner just down the street at L'Acqua Salata was one of the best we had in Italy!
We traveled from Rome to Civitavecchia by the high speed train for 21.5 Euro per person. Very convenient. We ended up walking from the train station to our B&B in town, which was a bit of a long walk. We didn't see any taxis, and we would have had to wait for a bus, so we walked.

Staging point to get on incredibel cruise vacations - Its worth styaing in CIV for 1 or 2 nights iso taking a long journey from Rome to the port on the day of your sailing. Most of Civitavecchia is walking distance and just 10 to 15 mins to get to the ship.

The best place to stay in Civitavecchia. I don't always review hotels, but this place was worth a mention! A smaller BnB that focuses on the personal touch to guests. Unlike any other hotel we have stayed in. A welcome drink which was great and the breakfast was fantastic, a proper aunthenic experience. Everything you could need. Just 5 min walk or less from the train station. If you're staying here for a night before your cruise departure, I would absolutely recommend It!!
Location was excellent - centre of town. Room was spotless. Breakfast which was included with our room was great. Anna and Gianni were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. We intend to book this hotel on any future cruises from Civitavecchia and have already recommended it to other travellers who asked our opinion on a location to stay when in the cruise port.
A wonderful first night in Italy. The owner picked us up at airport as scheduled, I felt safe and secure in a new country. They held pasta dinner for us even though it was 10pm. Breakfast was very good and shuttle to cruise port was great.
