Beautiful pool and very calm grounds under the trees to relax in afternoon. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms spacious and nice bathrooms. Lots of parking.

The location of this accommodation was outstanding with beautiful views of the vineyards and the mountains from the balcony of our room. The breakfast was good, with fresh cooked eggs and cold cut meat of the day along with cereals, cakes, croissants, boiled eggs, etc. The evening meal was very, very good and reasonably priced. It was beautiful to sit out on the terrace at night for dinner, with excellent and attentive male and female waiters. The lady who was in reception was extremely helpful and friendly. We were a 15 minute drive from Civili del Fruili, and about 45 minutes from Aquileia where we went to see the architecture....both astounding.

Set at the foot of Spessa Castle, La Tavernetta Al Castello is a historic rural home that offers a restaurant and comfortable rooms. Near Gorizia, it is next to an 18-hole golf course.

We were traveling for longer distance and all we wanted was a place to sleep during a night. Based on that expectation this accommodation has fulfilled all our needs. If you are looking for cheap, but still clean place for sleep you will be on the right place. I was aware that there are "Italian" breakfast (croissant and coffee only) hence we have enjoyed it. It is very close to Palmanova fortress city, which is nice place to visit.
