The owners were responsive and helpful. Ricardo prepared beautiful breakfasts and even drove us to the train station as taxis tend not to want to come up the mountain. The location was quiet but had the most exquisite view of the lake. An out of the way gem that we were fortunate to find.

The location was surrounded by trees and daily visits by the owners goats, was a treat, Luca was very friendly, offering any assistance, such as driving my car (up and down) the very narrow laneway to the property. A range of great hikes and a bike hire shop are easily accessible from Brunate, so lots of adventure is at your fingertips.

We were here in early October and the weather was not so friendly for a 1 night stop, as it was rainy and got really foggy in the evening. However, we did enjoy it a lot and tokk the pathway to Faro Voltiano even through the mist, altought this might not be for everybody.

Brunate is a nice small town with no rush hours during mid...
Brunate is a nice small town with no rush hours during mid June. We ate close to the Lake Como with nice view, not in Brunate, which would also have had nice views. For us Brunate is nice and easy to move around with foot and funiculare. For some it might be too steep. We recommend to see views, nature and enjoy calmness. Also Como and Lake Como plus many nice small Towns can be reached by ferry.

Funicolcare is great fun
I went on the ferry to Villa Carlotta I left Brunate at 8.30am and took the Ferry at 10am.
It is 2 hours to Villa Caroltta on the lake but it is FAB with beautiful views.
There are various stops along the lake, Double check your return journey as I missed the boat back, There is a bus it takes about 45 minutes and get a ticket from the newsagent down the road for 5 euros, There is a stop by the ferry stop and one outside the newsagent.
With your back to the ferry stop you will see the Como bus Fermata across the road. And turn left from the ferry stop for the newsagent there are shops/cafe here too.
There are FAB resturants in Como. My husband enjoyed the one on the sea front near the ferry stop it served delicious sea food!

A small town overlooking Como's surroundings. A place to stay to enjoy the coolness of altitude during summer ! The quietness and seclusion, while never being far away from means of transportation (FUNICOLARE) and shops.

Great location at the top of the funicolare only 70 metres to the hotel. We had a lovely, comfortable room, overlooking Como with a lovely balcony. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptional, Chiara looked after us really well and gave us lots of good useful advice. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice and very good quality food. Thanks to Rocco and the rest of the great staff. We had a great five night stay and will definitely be going back in the future

Hotel Paradiso Como has the best lake view, like they say! The photos you take here are spectacular, and nothing quite like enjoying a vino or 2 or more watching out over lake Como. Room was comfortable.
The location is great. Its just a short walk from the town of Brunate and a short walk up to the view point that overlooks lake como. Its very quit at night, and Paula makes a great breakfast.
