This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. It's charming, quaint, historic. One of a kind. Great location right in the centre of historic Borgo San Lorenzo. Exceptionally clean. Helpful owner, who although spoke little English, we were able to communicate ok. Simple continental breakfast is in the cafe next door. I would definitely return here again. It's not luxurious (no swimming pool, no tea/ coffee station...), but it's a little glimpse into a bygone era. Good value too.

We loved our host and fell in love with the town! The newly-installed aircon worked well, and we made the absolute most of the washing machine! We were also able to fix up our own breakfast and coffee in the mornings, thanks to the well-furnished kitchen. Our host was lovely, using a translator on his phone when he struggled to understand our English and broken Italian; he also assisted in providing loads of info about the region and recommendations for activites.

Breakfast was fine when we had it. It was a shame that the staff were rude and refused to allow us into the breakfast area at 7.55 because it did not open until 8am on our final day

Easy walk to the center of the city and great restaurants. A little dark, but you have a semi-private pool and you are staying inside a castle wall.
The Villa Medicea is set on the hills around Florence, a 45-minute drive away. This 14th-century property offers free parking, and a garden with sun terrace.
We stayed for 3 nights. Host, Tina, was friendly and welcoming. She explained everything about the room and gave tips about visiting Firenze.
The furniture, toilet, AC were all in very good condition.
We could sit in a open patio under a big umbrella.

The place is spectacular!. The rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy. The hostess was very wellcomed with us, we arrived a bit early but she let us checked in anyway. She was very nice and lively.
The surroundings astonished and very closed to Borgo San Lorenzo.
The location in the calm Tuscan Apennines is just perfect for a relaxing vacation. The views across the valley and sunsets are stunning. Plenty of good supermarkets and restaurants close by too, which give a range of dining options.
