AMAZING!! Didn’t realize we were staying right in a fabulous “ castle” on a mountain top. Amazing food! Amazing breakfast! Rooms and bathrooms completely renovated and super modern. Midievil town under castle yo explore. Views outstanding. Front desk staff absolutely friendly and helpful and WONDERFUL experience all around. Totally unexpected from booking website.

I liked everyting of the property. It is a two floors full apartment, with an equipped kitchen. There are stairs for going upstairs.The bathroom has all one needs. The bed is comfortable and from the bedroom one can see the Forte di Bard. The location is excellent, since the place is right in the central street, very close to the lifts that bring visitors up to the Forte . I arrived by train; it took about ten minutes to arrive on foot. The breakfast is rich and good. I have not used the wifi.

The key element here was how flexible and kind the hostess was. I was allowed to check in very early, and the check in was easy. The location is also wonderful; the room looked right out over the river and Fort Bard can be seen from the window. Comfortable room with enough space and storage.

Spending a night in that hotel is to get an experience to stay in a fortress just for yourself(in the evening and in the morning)… staff are extremely nice, specially the girl who speaks English very well!
I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the 3 lifts(gondola), that you gonna spend 20 minutes going up/down but that’s part of the experience! :)
Comfortable bed, hot/strong shower … heater… very quiet at night! Also very fair price per night, I recommend it!
The Landlady is an extremely nice person. She waited for us long with the keys as the flight was delayed. She runs a shop downstairs where you can buy local specials.
The appartment is comfortable and has a marvellous view towards the Bard fortress.
Described as a room, but it was a characterful self-contained appartment. Lovely kitchen with kettle and choice of tea bags (coffee machine also). Very helpful host and lovely breakfast of fresh sweet things. All right in the old town of Bard.
Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice. Room HUGE and clean. Photos do not do it justice! Fun to take the funicular lifts up to the hotel. Restaurants within walking distance. Staff friendly and helpful.
