Cosy cottages on a hill side. Nice hot tub outside. We booked the small cottage and for us it was too small. There is no space left. Cottage is equiped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Very close to supermarket, petrol station and some restaurants. Lovely dog Snotra was waiting for us every day. I would book the bigget cottages.

A beautiful apartment not far from Road 1, very quiet and secluded, even though it is near a farm area. We arrived in the dark and had some difficulty identifying our apartment, but the owners were very kind and helpful in guiding us. The room was tidy, clean, and well-equipped. We had some problemas with the lock which was very hard to close. We slept in the most comfortable beds we've ever experienced in our lives!

Reasonably big rooms in a large hotel. Hotel was clean and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were kind and helpful. There was a slight problem with one of our rooms and they rectified it straight away. Seeing the horses in the morning was lovely.

Lovely, cosy cabin/cottage with all the facilities you could wish for and very tastefully decorated. Akurgerdi is in a great location with amazing views, close to all the amenities & shops of Selfoss (10 mins drive away) and golden circle highlights. A short walk/drive to the neighbouring viking restaurant Ingólfsskáli which is a must if you stay at Akurgerdi. Our host Sabine was very helpful and informative even to the point of telling us when the Northern lights were making an appearance. The only downside is that we weren't able to stay longer! Would definitely recommend and would love to be able to stay again.
