Location is superb, right between the mountains with splendid views and still not that far away from the nearest town. Jacuzzi just adds to the experience. Highly recommended :)
Located in Siglufjörður, Siglo Hotel by Keahotels offers 4-star accommodations with a terrace and a bar. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a shared lounge, as well as a sauna and a hot tub....

One of the my best stays in Iceland.
Enjoyed the outdoor hot bath, which the property also offers indoor sauna (but note operational at selected timings only).
The room is lovely with a window overseeing the 'boat on the dock'.
There is a common area for people to gather and chat, with central heating in the centre.
The breakfast buffet was great too, served in the restaurant, and you get to enjoy nice views as well ... however, they close the restaurant when breakfast is over, meaning all patrons will be asked to adjourn elsewhere.
The bar is open in the evenings, but pretty pricey so go easy on the alcohol :)

This was the only place (except in Reykjavik) where we met the host. I appreciated that. Of course we traveled for the scenery, but I also wanted to meet Icelanders. Olafsfjordur was also close enough to visit the surrounding area, and, gee, the tunnels were an experience also.

Looking back, I feel lucky that we ended (pretty much by chance) in Ólafsfjörður and not somewhere in the south. Driving is slow in Iceland so even just getting to Akureyri was a substantial trip but that's a constant in Iceland. Knowing what I know now, it was as good a base as any, and better than most. On our way back to the airport when we stopped by the locations of the so-called Golden Circle, with their hundreds of buses and their crowds, it felt bizzare. The main attraction of Iceland is that you can take a hike among the hills and, with just a little luck, have the whole valley for yourself (not counting the sheep). The neighboring Dalvik offers great horse rides (do look at Tvistur), the ferry to Grimsey, and more.

We arrived earlier, so the staff made sure our room was made ready. Nice room, comfy bed, beautiful sitting area to dine in (no restaurant, but make yourself).
The hotel really goes above and beyond, they're so customer friendly oriented! They offer so many free things to use, for example: They have a pooltable you can use for free, even kayaks! You can grab fresh towels whenever you want and if you want new linen on your bed you only need to ask.. Also free coffee machine.
We stayed here for 4 nights with 2 adults and 1 baby. A baby bed and high chair was provided by the hotel next to the cabins.
The cabin is made entirely out of wood, this is very cosy. Hot tub is very nice to relax.
You can use all the facilities of the hotel for free (laundry room with washer & dryer, lounge area, coffee, kayak,...)
The hotel has a fully equipped restaurant kitchen to use for cooking your meals. The dining and lounge areas are full of windows overlooking the water and mountains that surround you.
There are free laundry facilities, billiards and parking. They even offer kayaks for guests to use on the water across the street from the lodging.
The cabin was clean but compact for 4 people. It's a cabin for two people. The location is great and the staff at the hotel (who also run the cabins) were super helpful during our stay. On a side note, the kitchen did not have a stovetop, it was a portable electric cooktop.
It is a wonder place. The settlement, Ólafsfjörður, is an amazingly located alone, but the small wooden houses add to the experience. It was everything and even more. The hot tub is a must!
